I'm not a fan of Patricia Kaas and I don't like such a harsh voices. 0 pts :(

Maybe, it's the best asset of the candidature, its main attraction.

on the + side:
Very well written pop/rock song
Strong dark voice.
closest competitor: UK (as of 5.3.14) Israel is better!

on the - side:
Mix langue lyrics
Not a ESC winner type of song (you need costumes like Lordi in 2006)

Israel: 8 pts.

And how many people have won without a costume? xcrazy Besides that's always been their style, they didn't put on the costumes because it would shock the audience (although they did, of course)

For me it's just not memorable :( I can't remember a single line or the melody and I've already heard it twice.

Celia I think that you misunderstood what I mean by type of song....... I mean ROCK!!! It is not just a pop song it has elements of rock. Looking at the past winners the closets pop/rock type of music it can think of as a winner is Lordi.

My bad then, sorry :D although I think Lordi's song sounds nothing like this at all. I would have never made that connection.

Oh wow, this was a surprise. A lot more "ballsy" than I remember Israel being in a while. Great voice, and awesome key-change! Can see this qualifying quite easily xup

8 points for now

Wait! Wait! Did they choose a song? I didn't expect to see the song already

At least they chose the best one xcheer

I can't give 12 points because Mei's voce still irritates me, but since the song is amazing I'll give it 10 :D

No way Israel is out of the final this year :D

well yes Lordi was a bit more hard rock/rock .... where this song is more pop/rock but I can't find another winner song that I would categorize as Rock

BTW I hope whoever makes the running order this year will separate :il: and :mk: cause these two songs are quite similar (talking about the styles ;) ), they could cancel each other and it would be such a pity. Both deserve to do well!

The transition from English to Hebrew happens so fast it sounds like she's singing "I touch your d**k" xshock1 xrofl3

I just listened to the other two songs and all I can say is how disappointed I am now:(

What they have chosen here is by far the blandest of the three songs. It's literally just going to blend in with the other pop-rock entries of the year, especially Macedonia and Italy, both of which probably have stronger songs. "Be Proud" would have been a pretty neat entry. It sounds like a James Bond number. That would have been something a little different and at least could have stood on it's own.

On a plus note, can I just say I loved the music videos accompanying the songs:lol: Real lofi charm to them. It was as if David Lynch was behind the camera.
