Why, why, why do the best artists or at least the one who have a real career (altough i'not a big fan of Dana) always have to come or to come back at eurovision with one of their weakest songs!

Lol it's funny actually. The ones who don't like the song. I'm really happy that Israel sends finally an uptempo song and not a ballad :)

Could she sing more out of tune????
More than a decade to see the magnanimus DIVA, doing the most awful performance I've seen in time...

Let's hope she can do better at Dusseldorf.:?

PD: However the song it's good.

Im nightmare to wirte well in Engl, lol.

It's okey. I knew you meant well.

To be honest though, I don't think gays nor transsexuals would care that much.

One more thing; why are you putting gays and transsexuals in the same group? it's not the same thing.

Wow! I didn't check the new comments for a while and I had to read 3 pages! I wanted to make so many quotes! :p Did I read somewhere that they will send it in full english? Israel?! Naah! And please NOOOOOOO! I live hebrew in songs and generally after tonight I think it's a beautiful language!
Also great changes!!! :D :D GO DANA!

The juries will put her in the final anyway, because she is Dana - the winner of 1998 Eurosong. They did that to Niamh as well. The song is very vague, the only part I like is "Ding Dong, say no more" and really she shouldn't say anything more than that. This is a disappointment, but anyway you should qualify (regardless of how bad her song is).

I like it, but not love it. I reckon it's maybe because she's Dana and has some charisma... 5 points. ANd I'm really glad Israel managed to send an uptempo song after a decade of ballads :)

Well must remember that Dana was the pioner of the Revolution of Eurovision of the 90s .. for all the Gays & Transexuals is an symbol (An Still) of that epoque and i dobut that won't vote by her - include some members of this forum .. must remember that Dana is Trans and is regarded as an major sister in the Transexual World and i dobut that they will they are going to betray her ''sister'' at the votes :cool:

My favourites were Chen and Adi :) but im happy for Dana. At least she'll bring some fun to ESC! The song is not really strong, so a revamp is a good idea i think. She also needs to work her performance, it looks boring on stage. Though i''m not sure if she will qualify, it's fifty-fifty for me atm. 7 points.

I dont get why people still have an issue about Dana being transexual. It's 2011, come on.. for me she's a woman, a Diva :D

Good luck to Israel, our esc brothers :D

Re: ISRAEL - 2011 - Dana International - Ding Dong

I wasn't talking about performances.

Alot of countries are changing their entries for Eurovision, update the sound, change some lyrics, language maybe, change instruments etc.

It's very common and this will not be an isolated case.

Also, don't you think it's for the best for Eurovision if the entries gets as good as possible? Updating the song is not the same as changing the whole song.

totally agree with u!!my only argument thoughis hat if ALL the abv mentioned changes occur ( i.e.making the song more upbeat /hvng it start with the mid-end of the song /maybe hvng it in full hebrew version ) then we no longer talk ant 'updating ' a song, but actually abt giving it the kiss of life -which in dana's case will be blessing!! ;) i am just saying though that this might end up in smthng different from what voted/selected

She already said the performance gonna be really different from the one tonight. In addition, she will make another version for the song!

Plus Dana is one of the very few transexuals who look pretty. Almost all of them are somewhere between man and woman and don't look quite good. She's an exception :)

(JUst my opinion of course ;))

In the transsexual world maybe.

As a, let's say not straight, person myself , I don't feel represented by transsexuals what so ever. I respect their choice, but they do not represent gay people in general, since gay people are not people who wished to be another sex.

I think there are many good looking transsexuals. Do you mean drag-queens or transsexuals?

Sure they are, but IMO many of them don't really look women, but somewhere between woman and man. Talking about the face, not the body ;)
