It's not dead-on-arrival, at least, but it really drags on towards the end. For me, it's the definition of an inoffensive song that you give :5: points.

I give it 2. That uninspiring melody of the chorus and the ending with no fanfare, highlight at all makes it particularly lame. The lyrics are bad too.

Not my kind of (soft?) rock track. It sounds slightly like a football anthem or sth.

Well, I won't care in the morning, but I really just want to see Ireland do well, and I can't see them being anywhere near close to qualifying with this, given that the odds were already against Ireland with the semi draw. In my mind, they had one act with bags of potential, and they've not selected it.

Maybe next year Ireland. And please, please, ditch this format. The only successful act to come out of it in the past 15 years is Jedward.

I don't think it's chanceless, honestly?

it is the type of song that has an obvious audience. The question is: is the audience strong enough for a qualification? Ten years ago, perhaps (I mean, :dk: 2011 was top 5 and it had pretty much the same target audience as this - and I personally think it is even worse dfkjldfskjldfskjl) but I don't know now.

Right now, I do hope it is a NQ just because when Ireland sent something I actually liked (Brooke last year) it NQed and I don't want them to NQ with something I dislike!!!!! But then again, Ryan is near my bottom of 2018 and he qualified so.............................

i just watched the recap what the f was that. ireland definitely made the right choice, it was the only decent song and performance everything else was excrutiatingly bad. even connolly which was the only song that was basically alright in the studio version.
everything else: the horror

Tumblr, mostly.
A bunch of clichés (musical and lyrical) strung together into a song. It's the same principle as Blanca in Spain rly: it could trick enough people into believing it's worth something, but it's a hell of a bluff.

It's better than Ukraine and Albania, but it's still :5: in the poll. My *third* Five. (Good lord is Gustaph STILL the only act in this esc so far that I like???)

Hopefully Saturday night's yields are a bit better.

Good news for Denmark - in the internal 'old members of EBU not qualifying for the final' battle. There has been some tough rivalry going on there between Denmark and Ireland in recent years.
