Oh... my... Goddess...

I just thought to myself "I wonder if Jedward will ever win the United Kingdom's national final for Eurovision" the other week. It seems I wasn't educated enough to know that Jedward are Irish and thus would compete in the Irish national final. Well, at least their live vocals have improved as of late. Too bad the back up vocals aren't that swell. also, what's up with the lack of a twincest-heavy stage show?

If it makes the final, I can see this do pretty OK, actually, depending on the stage show.

They're not a joke, they take what they do very seriously whilst combining it with a bit of fun. There's a difference between joke acts and fun acts - eg joke acts are the likes of Dustin and Verka whilst fun acts are the likes of Jedward and DQ :).

What's worse than the so called "joke" entries are those acts who think they are serious but come across as jokes so it's an unintentional joke which usually flops at eurovision. And that is what I am almost certain is king to happen to jedwards.

This song might be a joke, but I don't think it matters. It has everything except a logic lyrics. The boys can sing and dance and the song is full of cheerful melody and it's just so weird! I think they'll definitely do better than Nikki Kavanagh, even though I really liked her song. I think Jedward are underrated... don't worry, Ireland, this is not another turkey :p

Just awful. Zero out of ten.
If they can't sing the song live, then they shouldn't be singing it at all. They can't sing any song live, as they proved on X Factor.
Their fans claimed that Jedward would show (in the Irish selection) that they really can sing - and what happens : their four backing singers sung the whole song for them, practically swallowing the microphones, yet the twins held their own microphones way down at chest level.
Jedward can't dance in sync with one another. Just embarrassing to watch, and painful to listen to.

I hear a lot of ''Oh give them a break, they're only young''.
They're 19 , not 9.

Well that's not Jedward's or Ireland's fault is it, it's the people who are watching's fault ;).

I wont be surprised if Jedward flop but they dont deserve to...

^Nah they suck big time and if they do well it will be a real fluke.

I believe out of all of the songs chosen Friday/Saturday, this one has the smallest chance of qualifying to the final.

How can you choose that? You either get it or you don't and while jedward may appeal to the british and irish viewers it's just something that will probably not translate well elsewhere. But again we can argue all the way to duesseldorf and still disagree. I always root for entries and never against any so I wish Ireland good luck....cause they need it.

I know exactly what kind of act they are because I followed the X-Factor they were in.

The song is not that bad, its catchy. But they have absolutely no talent whatsoever and they can't even manage to get through a 3 minute pop song with no real vocal demands. This is what counts at ESC, nobody in Europe will know what Jedward stand for. It's Dustin all over again.

All Im saying is that a lot of people may have listened to the song once or perhaps never at all and have no intention of even trying to like it.

People don't have to like it just because you do or because they're h@turr5555, that's the beauty of music :p Granted, Jedward appeal more to the Irish/British tongue-in-cheek sense of humour but it doesn't mean we're right.

I never said people have to like it, did I? I am saying that I believe some people may be choosing not to like it.

Anyway, here's Ireland's icon:

They don't know how to sing! So what?
Safura not know to sing, Hadise too, Rybak is far away from Pavaroti, Verka etc etc etc.
At the ESC voice is not only important object!
