After Silia from Cyprus now Hera also says that she loves the Israeli song, while she thanks the Israeli eurofans for their support!

Björk is dead last in the odds now. Even behind Czechia and San Marino. You kind of feel that if ANYONE wrote a new song for her, that would do better - she's a talented artist. definitely among the 10 best singers in the competition.

I really loved her 2010 entry, but this one....doesn't do anything for me. Such a shame, she deserved a much better comeback.

I think her chances for the final are purely theoretical.

3 points.

3 points for mama Hera! The song itself is probably the most random ever we had, like, how do they think this is something any person will go and enjoy, clapping along, like we did at any Sunday afternoon music show in the 80s? This is Eurovision, not the schlager-parade. But she‘s lovely. The staging is actually good but too static. The song requires her to dance along with a couple of background dancers.

Let's take our entry's biggest asset (the force of personality that is Hera Björk) and stick her on a stage prop that is both restrictive and kinda pathetic-looking...not like this had a FasTrak (Northern :cali: #productplacement) to the final or anything but it's unfortunate.

It’s so sad this entry is that much weaker than her first one that I LOVED. I wonder why she chose to come back with this.

3 points just cause she is lovely.

Am I the only one that liked the studio version really a lot?

Yeah, the staging is boring, but at least she improved a lot from the NF. I would , however advise her to belt more herself. Maybe go like 2 notes higher, but definitely a top 3 in my list.

It's a nice song but also a little old-fashioned and nothing special. 6 points.

Super guilty pleasure material. Poor Hera. The writing was on the wall, I hope she's not too disappointed.

I think Hera managed to elevate the song with the performance thanks to her vocal skills. But the song was just not the one.

Can anyone from Iceland explain why this won? Is it only because "she's a legend" over there, or was there anything else that made people actually think it was a good entry?

My old fashioned in taste friend kept making comments during each performance, but Hera's song was the one she spoke no word and watched the whole performance without blinking her eyes. She was pretty mesmerised by Scared of Heights. She didn't make a positive comment at the end of the song but she had this big smile on her face. Then during the recaps she saw this song and went "That song is so dull"

I was also wondering this. In a small country, maybe it benefited from local voting campaigns? I'm Irish and the 'local voting' effect happens even with 5m people, Iceland has 0.4m.

Wild West would have qualified with ease and I wasn't even a huge fan of it.

Love you, Hera!
Always a queen and an example. Today, I figured out how much weight she has lost. Incredible!

I feel sorry for her. I somehow get the feeling she‘s a victim of foul play in a badly orchestrated political game.
