The Icelandic version is better especially in terms of prosody, more precisely the rhythm, it sounds way better than the english version...
Since I like the Icelandic langauge and the RUV rules implied at least a bilingual version of this song, I'm a bit disappointed about this decision to perform an english version. On the other hand it's alright because the song contains a good and impotant message which is worth to get spread :)

I'm glad this is in the same semi as Russia... Shame I can't vote for it though.

Apparently 2 of its member were in the previous band called Botnledja, and they even supporting Blur on tour as Damon Albarn himself contacted this band to go with them. Wow surely they're not a joke at all, they are established and experienced musicians... I hope they qualify for the final please please please...

For reference this song by Botnleðja came second in the Icelandic pre-selection in 2003, after Birgitta Haukdal's "Segðu mér allt" (Open your heart).

The English version is actually better than the Icelandic version, now this pice of music is not a joke of goofy people hopping around singing blaa blaa blaa .....

........ well there are actually some goofy people ........ and they are hopping around .......ehhh wellll instead of 1 pts I would now have given them 5 pts.

Hahaha I prefer this song than Birgitta Haukdal. It's kinda like Arctic Monkeys in their first album and sound a bit like Blur in their "Parklife" era. I love Icelandic music very much, I hope someday we got to see Sigur Ros or Olafur Arnalds in Eurovision stage..

For anyone who complains about Pollapönk "breaking the rules" by having their song in english:

RÚV asked them to make english lyrics after they won, Pollapönk got permission without asking for it. So yeah, it's not breaking the rules, if anything, it's bending the rules.

More like the broadcaster dismissing its own rules.....so odd, why have a language rule in the NF to begin with?

It was made to have voters knowing what language the song would be in, but everyone in Iceland expected english lyrics, and They promised, and talked about english lyrics, so it's an exception, or in other words, bending the rules.

Summary: The language changed, and Iceland moves up about 20(!) places in my list. :D

The message is beautiful, but the song is awful. Maybe, they stand out for being different...

What do you think about an all-scandinavian final? Even though Finland and Iceland are not obvious in the final I believe that they can pull it through, beecause there are not many other songs in the same genre... I hope for an all-scandinavian final even though I'm not very fond of the finnish entry this year hah :p

I don't get why this is doing badly in the polls. It could be a huge hit in today's music charts... possibly the novelty value of the band's image puts people off? I'm not writing this one off, it stands a great chance of qualifying IMO

It's kids music and not appealing to the average/mainstream adult ear.

While I'm personally surprised anybody would find this appealing in any shape or form, the current poll results, betting odds etc should not come as a surprise.
