Sweet, my faves got through this semi, and Amor gets the wildcard, which is exactly what should have happened, as my taste is clearly superior to Matt's.

Of course, taste differ.....mine just happens to be superior (j/k ;) )

If Greta wins she'd have to change the staging which I'm sure she will.

Haha, I actually thought that you were being serious for a while, then I noticed the "j/k", it always fun to know how other people feel about the songs.

You and I seem to have a similar taste, did you like Pollapönk as well?

Not my favourite, but I felt it deserved to go through.

What was your favorite?

Mine was Pollapönk, I think that they will be popular in Copenhagen, but maybe they'll end up like Valentina in 2013, was very popular but didn't go to the finals. Plus, They are going to make John Grant translate the song if they win, it would be great to see how John Grant would translate it.

Dear sweet jesus!! I never thought i'd see John Grant's name mentioned on this forum. He's fantastic. Pollapönk were my 2nd favourites anyway so i'd be really happy with them winning. John Grant translating the song is the icing on the Cake. Is he friends with them or something?

He held a concert in Iceland and became friends with a lot of famous Icelandic people (and probably also not famous), so he must've hung out with Pollapönk.

My favourite from tonight was Lífið kviknar á ný, but my favourite song overall is Amor. I doubt either of them will go to Copenhagen because lol Iceland, but I can but hope.

They will have a tough time, F.U.N.K. was a little of a let down, I expected a bit more, and Lífið kviknar á ný wasn't like I thought it would be, all the songs could've used a little more of a perfomance.

I just remembered that John Grant actually currently resides in Iceland. Imagine if one day he decides to enter or even compose a song for someone? xheat

If John Grant would do so for Iceland, it would still not be certain if he goes to eurovision, because it's Iceland.

It would be 98% chance that he goes through and 2% that he doesn't, but it has often happened that Iceland sends a song that is far worse than the runner up. But he would probably win.

I listened to bits of the Icelandic songs yesterday. And oveall the quality is not that great.
My favourites were "Eftit eitt lag" by Greta and "Lífið kviknar á ný" by Sigríður. I also liked ""Þangað til ég dey"" by FUNK.

So, all the Icelandic people here, how likely is it that Pollapönk will win this? 50%? 90%?

So you want me to die of pollution, without fresh air?? :( :( :(

Nooo!! Fresh air is contained in Greta's candidature. Amor is harmful to health, IMO. ;)

I only like Amor from semi final 1 (because my two favorites from the show were eliminated) and Lífið kviknar á ný from semi final 2 (in fact, my favorite from the whole contest), so I'm hoping one of them will be Iceland's entry.

And thank god Til þín is out because it's boring as hell.
