Great song!!! Well done Iceland, land of columnar basalts! I personally favoured "Stattu upp", but this is great as well. Keep it in Icelandic.

I just realized, if Serbia and Iceland both qualify to the final, Zeljko and Jonsi will be facing a rematch after being together in 2004.

I wanna add something to this. Last time they were in Istanbul, this time in Baku. Macedonia picked their artist internally in both 2004 and now (both occasions, the best artist). Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Slovenia were all in the same semi-final in 2004. Turkey picked an unconventional artist in 2004, as well as now. Cyprus did really well in 2004, and it is likely to happen again.
By this logic, Ukraine should win this year.

I have sympathy to one boy - girl bands. It's because is "This is my life" by Euroband in 2008.
This song is so cool despite not English. I see this song in final, but I don't think as winner song.
Good choice, Iceland.

It's nice, but that's about as much as my personal taste can say for it. It does have quite an epicness to it's sound though which I think would be lost if they didn't sing in Icelandic so I hope they don't translate it. 4 points from me, but I think this'll qualify

Perfect choice! I could have lived with four of the songs out of this final representing Iceland, but Greta & Jonsi were my absolute favourite. It will take a pretty amazing song to replace this one as my favourite in Baku as well. But please, please, please, keep it in Icelandic!

It's not amazing, the intro and verse sound like they're building up to a fantastic chorus that just isn't quite there, but it's definitely very interesting and different. A HUGE plus for the lovely Icelandic language so I gave it 8 points.

Exactly my thoughts when I first heard that. I didn't get all the hype for this song. I still don't. However as you said the intro and the verses are fantastic. I just find the chorus a bit weak. But as I said it really grows on me so I'm fine. Good choice even if it wasn't my favourite.

Regina was my favourite of the bunch, but I'm still satisfied with the song they've picked. Iceland had a very strong final.

I agree with those saying it could do with a stronger chorus, but it still leaves a good impression and it has a lot of potential for an extravagant staging in Baku.

I notice Iceland are in the same semi as Albania. Both songs rely on big orchestral grandeur, so there's a bit of competition there. If the two are close in the running order Iceland might not stand out as much.

Best Icelandic entry in years imo!

However, please do NOT translate this into English, keep it in Icelandic!! Some pop songs may benefit from English (although I'm opposed to translation in most cases), but not songs like these, English would totally destroy the whole impression and beauty of the song, in this case English would just be a desperate attempt that won't help the song at all (only the contrary).

Anyways, good job Iceland for choosing this!!

^Agree! I personally prefer it to stay in Icelandic 100%. But Europe's audience prefers songs in English (just have a look at the winners in the past years, only Molitva was not in English, and most of the top10 songs were in English too). I don't know if this song would sound good in English, though! In Icelandic it stands out a lot! Very special song!
