I didn't like his last esc entry at all, but this is a really nice pleasant song. Great choice Hungary. Tonight has been a great success compared to last Saturday.

YAAAS! xheat xyaaay xbow xlove xheart

I don't care if he flops this time..

But this is equaly AMAZING as "Origo" and even better for my taste...

I hope he will perform alone in Tel Aviv!

Bless his Gypsy soul! xlove xheart

Re: HUNGARY 2019

So sweet. Love him. How emotional he is by his win melts my heart. xheart I absolutely loved his last entry and was super moved by it. This isn't as instant of a song though (and I don't feel he'll repeat or better his result), but I think it has potential to really grow on me, and he still very much deserves it.

Well, what can I say, a HUUUUGE downgrade from Origo which I loved, but in the horrid state of that superfinal the best choice was made. I think that I need to sleep on it a bit to make a final judgement about it.

This is a snooze. It feels like a step down from his previous entry which I found to be quite alright, and much more interesting. This isn't bad but it doesn't go anywhere, and I think if you're returning to Eurovision you need to step it up. This does the opposite. 2019 is so middle of the road, and with each NF that passes it becomes more and more tiring.

4 points.

The song doesn't do much to me … I give it three points. COULD have been 12 points with the RIGHT decision today. :(

THE GOOD:
-The vocals are sweet, tender, and fit the instrumentals well.
-You get a lot of song in this song.

THE BAD:
-It's kind of boring in parts.

THE VERDICT:
Seems like Hungary learned their lessons from last year, not that that song wasn't bad. Quite the opposite, actually. Getting back to this year, we all know how Joci did the year before last (8th place), and he is a quality singer. Therefore, he kind of is writing his own destiny here, which will include a trip to the Grand Final. After that, his fate is in his hands. The one hiccup I see is the song not being in English, which might be a bit of a burden. 8 points

Disappointed but not surprised...

Words cannot describe how heartbroken I feel over Gergő being so close to the final. I loved Bence's song but I would've forgiven it if it were "Satellites" instead... and I still like his new entry, but I wish it was Gergő instead, in some sort of a tiebreak, just...

I'm simply miffed. I wish the best of luck to Joci of course, but I'm miffed. Maybe just as much as Rainy is over Fatal Error. There will never ever be another "Madár, repülj!", as much as there'll never be another "Hazavágyom". And I really would have loved these, I really would have, but juries were such bitches, I shouldn't have fallen for their games in the first place.

And even if Gergő wouldn't be there to enter another song to honour his mother, I'd really want him to be in Eurovision, just so that his relatives located in Lithuania and Czechia could support him in the big stages xheart33

And no, I'm not letting that bird fly, it will forever be caged because I'm just so upset.

But I'll still try stanning Hungary overall nevertheless! Just don't disappoint me in 2020 challenge ^_^

About Joci being chosen... well at least András must be internally screaming over the result

"Madár, repülj!" was my no 1 too in Hungary :( Joci Pápai was ~3rd favourite of mine so I am not really angry. It's not as great as his previous entry for sure even if I find it good (that one finished too low in my book, should have been at least 4th that year).

This was my second or third favorite song from the whole selection!

I´m most definitely happy with this choice. I would even say that I like this song better than "Origo".

However, I´m not sure how successful is this one gonna be. "Origo" seemed definitely more fitting for ESC stage show, where as this one is more fitting for radio station.

Overall, I give it 10 points!
