Wow shocking announcement by Freddie there at the end, one of the songs among the finals (probably from last week's semi?) Has been accused of plagiarism, the investigation is ongoing, they didnt name the song. If the song in question is found to be plagiarism then the semi finalist with the most points not in the final (so Gergő Oláh) will replace them. Singers looked totally in shock.

So Fatal Error were almost out despite getting the best jury score of everything in the first heats, and delivering an even better performance than the semis? O...... k..xwhat Thank god for the public vote I guess.

Don't understand myself either. Especially since I even liked this Performance more than their first, if that can be possible at all.

I thought the same as well. The performance was amazing. I stopped watching Melodifestivalen just so that I could see it. Weird to lose that much support from the jury.

I only guess from Freddie's wording (that the professional investigation is already ongoing) that its not from tonight but among last week's qualifiers (so Acoustic Planet, Bence Vavra, The Middletonz or Petruska).
I have no idea, didnt hear anything about it until now.

They probably didn't want to send another "similar" song to last year, so have abandoned it at this stage.
For me, all my faves got through, and as much as I enjoy Bogy and Fatal Error, I'm 100% behind Joci now. Stunning song.

Then why entertain inviting them to the NF in the first place? It's a waste of everyone's time and an insult to the band if the jurors actually do believe that Fatal Error have the best song, but they're jumping ship at the last minute because it's similar to last year. That's just tactics and not about the music. Zero point in them turning up if this was always going to happen.

The violins in Joci's song were not doing it for me :? (and I usually love violins). The whistling in the studio of version is so much better. Please don't keep them

Hoping for Joci now (or maybe the Middletonz would be alright). My problem with his song is still that the first 45 seconds or so are best-thing-since-sliced-bread, please-win-Eurovision material, and then it loses all momentum heading into the second half of the chorus and the second verse. The live performance here elevated it a lot, though, and the violins help. So I suppose my ideal situation would be Joci winning and then revamping things a bit to add some more oomph to the latter parts of the song?
