Roses might have be a decent choice for Hungary, but it really flopped live. What the hell is going on with those dancers. The lyrics annoy me too, it feels like they were written by a 12-year-old who just discovered the f-word for the first time and is now using it in any situation possible.

I don't think Hungary should get rid of the jury because a) they've made the final every year since A Dal started and 2) if they did then USNK would win which would be a disaster. They DO however need to stop penalising acts so harshly for the lyrics because they don't mean jack shit in Eurovision (especially if they're in Hungarian and nobody at the contest will understand them anyway).

Recap of the live of the 30 songs.

If I counted well we have 3 songs in English (Petruska, yesyes, The Middletonz) and 15 in Hungarian in the semi finals, that must be some record. And there's the same ratio with femal lead singers (Bogi Nagy, Acoustic Planet, Timi Antal)

Maybe. But this year with this jury we can't be sure about anything.
And usually there can be big changes in their votes: Like last year Viktor Király's Budapest Girl was qualifying with OK jury points but in the final it suddenly became their big fave with Gergő Dánielfy, while AWS had great jury scores during the heat and the semi while in the final they hardly scraped through.

We may criticize the format of A Dal but it sure makes things unpredictable and exciting until the end.

I'm actually not that surprised Leander Kills didn't make it. I was expecting the song to be more pirate metal flavored than it was.

Anyways, here are my favorites after live shows

DENIZ "Ide várnak vissza"

*huge gap* (not that others are bad, it's that my favorite is so good)

Joci Pápai "Az én apám"
Fatal Error "Kulcs"
Ruby Harlem "Forró" (this one really comes alive on stage! what's up with the dislikes?)
Bence Vavra "Szótlanság" (that hypnotizing and gorgeous dancer made me like it, i swear)
Salvus "Barát"

The Middletonz "Roses" (this is like a rollercoatser.. i really like some parts of the song, but not all)*

Hmm, not the strongest A Dal selection this year. Think it might be Joci or nothing for me. It's not as good as Origo but it's still a very good song. Thankfully the juries will kill UNSK so we don't have to worry about that awfulness going to Tel Aviv. Fatal Error look risky to me. The songs not as good as last year's and even then, AWS only scraped through.

Joci please!

Well the good news would be that Leander will probably compete with metal in the future A Dals :F that or them taking a break in 2020 to save my and everybody else's nerves a little bit at least.

I actually hate to agree with this jury but....... can they please end this hashtag and USNK thing for good? I'd love to have this genre of music at ESC but not this way, I just don't get the appeal of this song. Gergő wouldn't be such a bad choice, he just needs to improve his live a little bit but the song is not bad at all

Only three remaining acts got 9 points from the televote: Deniz, Fatal Error, USNK. So if one of them ends up in the top 4 they will most likely win.

When will we get to know the semi final lineups?

Pray for Deniz not to be in USNKs semi and randomly getting in the jury final top 4 and win thxxx

If only the Jury ranked DENIZ higher, then things would look differently. I'd like to know about the semis as well. But I bet we won't know before Saturday.

Anyway, if all is well, the ideal top 4 should be this:

• Gergő Szekér
• Joci Pápai
• Fatal Error
• Petruska (because there's at least one of THOSE every year that take up the top 4 spot unnecessarily)

However, it could also be this:

• Gergő Széker
• Joci Pápai
• Fatal Error
• Bogi Nagy/Gergő Oláh/The Middletonz

Throw The Middletonz/yesyes in and they're kind of likely to win. Throw USNK in - Lord hath mercy on us all. Joci maaaaay win again in these situations... or may not top 4 at all, depending on how much the juries wouldn't feel his newest entry as much as "Origo"...

USNK is by far the most popular act this year, their live performance already has twice as many views than anybody else on YT. Going by those numbers Pápai is clearly the 2nd most liked, and he will likely win if he ends up in the Top4.
