I got a cheeky notification this morning when I woke up saying that Kállay Saunders is now following me on twitter :D

It's not a matter of understanding English. I understand English (obviously) but the first time I heard the song I honestly didn't understand what it was about. Because, at the same time, I was doing other things, too. It was the melody and his voice that won me over at first. I think that's what usually happens in Eurovision, especially for people who aren't fans and just watch it once a year.
Very true!! By the way, great choice, Hungary, this year!! You have my favourite song!!

I dismissed this song as being good the first couple of times I listened to it, but it has grown on me quite a lot.

Love his voice, and how daring the lyrics are.

1 thing, I hope that their LED backdrop in ESC won't be as busy as the one that they had in A Dal. That was just so busy to the point that him, the dancers and the backing vocalists blended with the backdrop

I can very much see this winning or top 3. I might even put a bet on it. Drum'n'bass started in the UK, this is what kind of entry we should have, I'm envious.

I have really high hopes for this song, and as some of you have said, I could also see this winning, and I wouldn't mind this winning at all. It's definitely one of my favorites this year.

I might be putting my first odd too  . I guess Hungary is too low with the odds and it would be a kinda predictable winner!

Well I don't know why although I like this song I always thought that it's high level for Eurovision but I really don't know why....

Sure it has many chances to win but I think that we will only see it in top10 or in top5

I think this year belongs to Norway (and Silent Storm) but, from the rest of the songs already selected, I am only positive about this one..positive as in a top 5 result, at the very least. Not very often in eurovision do we get a guy who can sing live this well..compared with touching lyrics, professional production and good looks. Both juries and televoters will vote for this.

Why not? It is a meaningful song, the singer is excellent live, the melody is memorable. What should a song be like to win eurovision?

Yes, it's wrapped in all sorts of goodies, but the song itself is just not good enough imo. The melody might be memorable, but it's so flat! Then again... I thought the exact same about "Only Teardrops" and it won.

"Euphoria" was a worthy winner song imo.

LOL...well, I loved Only Teardrops and didn't like Euphoria that much. Different strokes for different folks :p

Well blow me down! It's now six days since I ran the Bath Half Family Fun Run 2014 (1½ miles) - Sunday 2 March 2014, and finished 90th (which in a field of over 900 runners was excellent) with a gun time of 0:06:48 and chip time of 0:06:43. Some people who I've spoken to the last six days have been so impressed with my position and times they've suggested I go for the proper Half Marathon next year, but at this present time I somehow think that's asking a bit much of me.

On those grounds, just reading the title of this year's Hungarian entry "Running" might sway me in favour of it. Or maybe not! I've watched the above video once and the one on the Eurovision website twice now. The song "Running" starts a tad dull, but the chorus is quite catchy - "She keeps on running, running, running". Towards the end two members of the backing group do a dance routine that may be fun to join in and copy. With running the Bath Half Family Fun Run 2014 still very much on my mind six days after the event I am naturally swayed to the lyrics of the chorus, but I don't really want that to influence me.

On a similar note, let's take a quick flashback to ESC 2007 semi-final: Iceland - "Valentine lost" by Eiríkur Hauksson. To the best of my knowledge seeing it during that semi-final on BBC3 here in the UK on Thursday 10 May 2007 was my first time of seeing / hearing that song; those were the days before I tended to watch preview videos online in the run-up to the ESC. When I saw it being performed, I disliked it from the start, with 28 countries fighting for the remaining 10 places in the 2007 final, "Valentine lost" was one of my "prefer not to qualify songs". Even the line "A rollercoaster in my brain" about half way through the song failed to force me to liking it, despite my passion for roller coasters / amusement parks, and having been a member of the Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain since March 2005. Basically what all this boils down to, I try my best not to let things I enjoy outside the scope of the Eurovision Song Contest influence me for/agaisnt ESC entries. That's why I want to try not to let my recent participation in the Bath Half Family Fun Run 2014 coax me into liking Hungary's ESC 2014 entry "Running".
