I like this song but I'm afraid that it's to sad for Eurovision and therefor has no chance of winning, does someone agree? But I definitely think it could place in the top 10!

This song based on a true story. András wrote about his friend (yes, he wrote the song, doesn't need a team to write that :p). I know it's hard topic for ESC, this song is a big exception, but a big questionmark too.

I know that András is very enthusiastic, it's TRULY a dream-come-true situation for him (it was his 3rd attempt in a row). I send him on Facebook the Ranking Game's result (7th week), which he won. He sent back smiles. :) He is very proud to represent our country, and works hard every day to make his performance better and better.

Ok I just saw this...
So I think that every year many "sad" songs takes a good place...Maybe last year isn't the best example but there was also sad songs in top 15 at least...

At 2012 except the two first songs :rs:,:az:,:al: and :ee: were at least not cheerfull songs
Anyway definately as song it will do well but I have to see and the staging

I agree.
Also...noone would call Birds last year a happy song and yet it did very well.
I also agree that the staging will play a big part....because there won't be any vocal problems for sure...Andras is excellent live. If they pay attention to the staging, Hungary can get a very high placing...maybe do even better than Friderika.

Do everyone in Europe understand English? I don't think the lyrics will be that important for an average person who watches Eurovision. For example, my mother watches it and she doesn't speak English and the lyrics are not important for her, for her the music is important. Song is catchy and radio-friendly, so it may be liked because of the music.

I have to admit that I didn't like it at the beginning at all, but now it slowly grows on me. Thanks God I have an ability to listen to the song and not pay attention to the lyrics because if I paid attention to the lyrics, this song would be very high on my top list just because of its message. For me song has to be catchy and lyrics don't matter.

Please, don't kill me now :p

Well the all the people in Europe knows at least some basic words in English cause it's the international language...

I'm talking as a people who doesn't pay attention to lyrics a lot.In some songs the lyric doesn't play an important role (for example :gr: 2013) because they are cheerfull. But this song as a pop ballad must have understandable lyrics to be easy learned from the people...If it was in Hugarian it won't take so many points

English is the best language for singing IMO. It is very beautiful language and songs suit it. And trust me, not everyone will understand the lyrics and get the message form them. English is the international language, but the old people (I'd say over 50) don't speak it that well to understand it fluently. I don't wanna fight with you xheart

Oh no no we don't fight dear xheart

I agree that the old don't understand english good but it will be much more easy for them to get the point of the song in instead in an other language. Also I'd add that the most people who watch Eurovision are between 20-40 so they know english good enough to get at least the general messange of the song

It's not a matter of understanding English. I understand English (obviously) but the first time I heard the song I honestly didn't understand what it was about. Because, at the same time, I was doing other things, too. It was the melody and his voice that won me over at first. I think that's what usually happens in Eurovision, especially for people who aren't fans and just watch it once a year.

Yes, people between 20-40 will get the message + they will watch it and won't be doing anything else, like ammmm writing on a forum or talking with friends on facebook while listening, so they'll pay attention to the lyrics. Although I'm not a big fan of this song right now, I think Hungary will do great this year.

I didn't do anything from these but I have to find the lyrics to get the point...
But anyway I just can't understand English in a song that's all..

The other people will get the point I think. But as busybee said the important thing is the voice which here is great

I agree, but I think ballads is a different thing because many of them are sad. And most of them are very powerful so it changes the song, for example Kuula that wasn't as cheery or Happy as a ballad can be but I didn't feel any sadness, the same with azerbaijan 2012 and netherlands 2013.

I think that this is more pure sadness (as suus) but it will be different because of the tempo of the song. I like it very much so I can't want until the final when we will se how it turned out :D

None of them are what I would consider as ballads. They're all pop songs :p

:ua: 2013 pop song???...Well maybe :dk: and :mt: 2013 are kinda pop songs but the rest?

:ua: was too upbeat to be considered a ballad though, so I dunno what else to say it is xshrug

I would say :mt: 2014 is a folky-pop song
