Prime Minister Office to ask ERT to select ESC entry via a national final, as the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are still 'severely disturbed by Marina Satti who wanted to apply her own foreign policy'.

I didn't like Marina's behavior either, but this is exaggerating.

Never mind, this could be a way to have a national final from now on I guess...

This is exactly the mindset that the far-right people you mentioned want you to have. As a Turk, I loved Marina and her stance during this entire sh*tshow. Right now I’m listening to the song “MIXTAPE” from her new EP - Greek reggaeton that I didn’t know I needed before. Marina also loves her fans, no matter where they come from. I think that’s all that matters.

What was Marina's "crime"? She just said that she also loves Turkey, like every other nation and that one of her first teachers in music was a Turk. He taught her music scales by using songs from the Mediterranean and the middle east (Greece, Turkey, Iran and other countries). She said that she was impresed by the music similarities between these countries and her the teacher answered her that it's expected, as the music tradition of the the whole region is older than today's countries' boarders. This was enough for the alt-right trash to start bashing her.

BTW, her mixtape song's lyrics is the answer to all of her haters. I luv her, she is such a troll! :D

These people are sick in mind. They better focus on more important things, like for example that :gr: has become the second poorest country in EU.

I'm so done with this country, seriously.

Greek government spokesperson not so happy with Marina's yawn. He said: "Fortunately no countries express their foreign policy through Eurovision. However, when someone represents a country even in a music contest, they travel with taxpayers' money and they need to watch their behavior and attitude. Eurovision's target is to unite people through music".

Marina is so iconic she even reached the greek Parliament. After this statement of the goverment spokesperson, MEP Zoi Konstantopoulou defended Marina with her speech from the podium of the parliament and she basically said that Marina is being targeted by our goverment and that it's not her, but Kyriakos Mitsotakis (our PM) and the political authorities in general that should be wary of their behaviour and that Marina had every right, as an artist , to express her disapproval about the participation of a country at Eurovision.

Greek media and some have been artists who have not had a hit since 2007 continue barking, whereas Marina...

I dont want to defend Fokas, but Im really not seeing him in this staging. He always uses a concept or props, I think this presentation was more Manjoon and Marina ( if you follow Manjoon you will see that he frequently uses the one-cam-trick ). Fokas has said in interviews that he didnt want to interfene much this year in the young peoples vision, because older people can learn from it. But all this is only my guess and I could be wrong, and of course hes got the most responsibility for it as creative director.

Now, you need a very special artist to win Esc nowdays, and unfortunately Greece doesnt have many of those. It will be really hard to get an artist more special than Marina in the next years
All the singers that are being successful in Greece right now and could do Esc, are kinda basic in terms of artistry, like Josephine, Lila or Evangelia. They are all giving '' low with juries and average with the tele '' vibes to me.
I think ERT will return to a national final next year, and its probably the best idea
No, please not Josephine. 😂

It seems that I was right, Fokas said that Marina rejected his staging proposal and the staging we saw was mostly Marina/Manjoon.
People blaming Fokas but its Manjoon that ruined both Zari and La Noia, this year's real villain hah

Did Fokas specify what he was gonna do with the staging?

Giant dices ar props, is my wild guess. :p

Well, juries were not going to like Zari in any way, so maybe with a campiest presentation it could gather more than 100 tele. Simple wasnt the way to go with Zari. Having said that, the result wouldnt have changed dramatically, maybe 7-10 but it wouldnt have surpassed Ireland no matter what

As I said when you represent a country, you represent them, not yourself. And by them I don’t mean Nemo. LOL But we actually never dealt with situation this complicated till now, so the artists just expressed themselves, thanks God this mess is over and Slay Marina, I’m proudly one of those 2M listeners!

i was expecting some more love from like Portugal , Azerbaijan and Spain

Really? After her behaviour at the press conference? No, juries couldn’t afford putting her high. Everything that gives juries a poor name will not be voted for. Has always been like that. The jurors don’t want their name connected with the woman who yawned at the press conference to bully another contestant. They know that was against the rules.

This was my absolute favourite before the contest and the actual performance really disappointed me.
It was original but very messy, with no staging and an awful outfit. The whole concept was this camerawork that was bringing nothing. The song was left completely flat while it had winning potential. I am really upset ! I hope we'll hear more about Marina because she has great talent.
