Greece? few chances? Did all the Greek diaspora around Europe suddenly just disappear or something?

I don't think that the Greek diaspora will vote for these songs...personally I wouldn't...

But maybe in May I will love our song (except if it's Josephine) as I do last year...

I dunno, but they're a powerful voting group in ESC with actual influence, and the issue with some of the diaspora voting is the blind nationalist vote which has nothing to do with the music, but rather supporting a certain country. I'm not saying all diaspora votes are like that, but there's unfortunately that too (and I guess this is the whole issue with diaspora voting in the first place).

Very early online indications seem to have Freaky Fortune as most favorable. I expect changes in the coming days, and we will have to see how all the songs hold up LIVE.

You are probably right but the people should vote for the song and not for the country

The songs may not be quite as good as we're used to in Greece, but I don't believe it do be that bad..?
I actually enjoy the song by Kostas Martakis, despite the fact that he is a bad singer

After listening again all the songs I still don't like none but my ranking is:

1)Freaky Fortune ft. RiskyKidd 6/10: That's could be a summer hit but it's not for Eurovision IMO...it could pass in the final but nothing more from 15-20 place
2)Kostas Martakis 4/10: I don't like it but it's cheerfull enough...if the guy who wrote it sang this it would be much more better...But I gave 4/10 only for the music
3)Krystallia 3.5/10: I expected much more better song for Krystallia because she is great singer and she deserves better song... and the lyrics are just awful...
4)Josephine 1/10: Her voice is awful, the song in the begin remind me :by:'s "Solayoh" but when I listen the chorus I just said no...

^Thanks

Petalouda Stin Athina by Crystallia 9.5/10 those violins xbow Great song and I kinda like her voice
Rise Up by Freaky Fortune 5/10 Nice try, but nah. It is exactly like the rest of 5151515155151515151155 summer songs which are played in clubs.
Kanenas De Me Stamata by Kostas Martaki 8/10 Unexpected song from Kostas   I like it xthink
Dancing Night by Mark Angelo featuring Josephine 6/10 Sounds like Cascada+Gagnam Style+Inna :?

My ranking based on studio version:

1. Freaky Fortune feat. Risky Kid – Rise Up 9/10
2. Krystallia – Petalouda stin Athina 7/10
3. Kostas Martakis – Kanenas Den Me Stamata 4,5/10
4. Mark Angelo feat. Josephine – Dancing Night 3/10

Just how I placed the songs after the first listening!! I would give Kostas more than 4,5/10 though...

I am happy, happy, happy with the greek selection!!
Three of the song would go straigh into my top 3 for now: Freaky Fortune, Krystallia and Kostas!

My favourite is Rise Up - this could easily be my favourite of 2014; IF they do a good live performance. I think it mostly depends on the rapping parts of the song. On the Eurovision stage rap parts of songs often do not work to the songs advantage.

Ok...

First of all i would like to say that i am happy that my country participates this year against all odds and so all greek foirumers must feel!

After a couple of listenings my impression on the songs :

Kanenas de me stamata : I feel like listening to Koza Mostra's "Desire" in an upbeat and worse version... :? It is definitely not Martaki's style at all and his voice is mediocre even in the playback version

Petalouda stin Athina : Expected soooo much more from Nikos Antypas and Aris Davarakis... :( I feel it is not powerful enough, something is missing...
Nonetheless, Krystalia is a classy girl, has a decent voice and the violin parts are lovely.

Rise up : When i listened to the song's intro i was like " Here we are, this is the best one!". However, soon the song falls flat and becomes repetitive...It is strangely addictive though, and i can totally see why it is the most popular out of the four songs among ESC fans.

Dancing night : Not much to say about this one! A mediocre dance song we have listened to a thousand times before. My sweet Josephine are you still kissing cowboys that cry are you still singing? Stick to another field (maybe modelling? xthink), singing is not your ...thing!

Overall, a weak selection for Greece this year! :/ I would say that except "dancing night", the other three songs have equal chances to win. It all depends on how the artists will perform on the NF's night!
For the time being, i'm more into Krystalia's and Freaky Fortune's songs!

Here is my ranking:

1. Freaky Fortune feat. Risky Kid – Rise Up : It's my fave. Catchy, a summer song with a good production.
2. Kostas Martakis – Kanenas Den Me Stamata : I like the song, but singer... :? I like other songs from him, and I thought his vocals were good.
3. Krystallia – Petalouda Stin Athina : I like the song, but sometimes it's boooring. I think she can do it better... However, I love the instrumentation.
4. Mark Angelo feat. Josephine – Dancing Night : The worst in the NF, and sincerely, I expected something better from her. Meh.

I still don't have an entry I 'd like to support and vote for on ESC. My 12 pts stays free and I'm looking for the best entry for my soul and my music collection.
Here I can see a good entry for Greece and my 12 pts: Mark Angelo feat. Josephine – Dancing Night. Krystallia – Petalouda Stin Athina also could be a good choice but this song would be much more exciting in English. So I hope for Greece - wonderful country with wonderful music.
