My ranking :

1. Krystallia – Petalouda Stin Athina
2. Kostas Martakis – Kanenas Den Me Stamata
3. Mark Angelo feat. Josephine – Dancing Night
4. Freaky Fortune feat. Risky Kid – Rise Up

The clear choice is Krystallia, but knowing the way Greek's vote, I imagine that garbage from Freaky Fortune will win. The 2 Greek entries blow the 2 English entries out of the water for a change.

Freaky Fortune for the win ! Crystallia's song has a good rythm but the lyrics are bad and they are meaningless so it's a good thing that you don't thing
because you don't know Greek :)

The other songs are awful especially Martakis song.

what is Petalouda Stin Athina about?

Here's a (free) translation:

I'll tell you my hidden secrets in Greek
a butterfly in Athens with sheer wings
I'm looking for a hug in love's plunge

A plunge in the sea
Pantanassa (it's another name for Virgin Mary..it means the queen of all)
I went out some night, I left, I escaped, I danced
and so I was able to
find you

I'm not afraid, my light
I'm hunting for love
And when love hurts,
I smile

I'm looking for a hug
in love's plunge

A plunge in the sea
Pantanassa
I went out some night, I left, I escaped, I danced
and so I was able to
find you

Freeky Fortune seem to lead all the polls at the moment, but my instict tell me that, in the end, it is gonna be Martakis

Hope you're right. xyaay

If i had to rank them, i'd probably put them on this order:

1. Kostas Martakis – Kanenas Den Me Stamata
2. Krystallia – Petalouda Stin Athina
3. Freaky Fortune feat. Risky Kid – Rise Up
4. Mark Angelo feat. Josephine – Dancing Night

I'd be happy with either Kostas or Krystallia xclap

I think "Kanenas Den Me Stamata" is stronger and more instant but "Petalouda Stin Athina" is really good too. The other 2 xshrug

Ok...

After a couple of listenings my impression on the songs :

Kanenas de me stamata : I feel like listening to Koza Mostra's "Desire" in an upbeat and worse version... :? It is definitely not Martaki's style at all and his voice is mediocre even in the playback version
Exactly. I would quote the lyrics of his ESC song here: "Xriste kai Panagia mou" xcrazy

If Martakis win the NF I will stop watching Eurovision!!

The only chance of Martakis win is all girls in the age of 15 vote for him, else there is no chance of winning for such a bad song.

His song is fine, much better than Freaky Fortune.

Of course I'm supporting Martakis!!!

Very powerful song that could be arranged well on the stage in Copenhagen. Begin the performance with jimmy jibs/technocranes and some scenery-lighting effect could have a big impact on TV and "wake" TV viewers. Seems it has big potential to give high ratings during the Grand Final. I'm sure it could land a spot on May 10th!

Lima c:
1. Krystallia – Petalouda Stin Athina (Intense... I love it!)
2. No number 2 for me
3. Freaky Fortune feat. Risky Kid – Rise Up (Nice try, but ... just no.)
4. Kostas Martakis – Kanenas Den Me Stamata (His voice is boring and plain. I imagine him singing it with a pokerface)
5. Mark Angelo feat. Josephine – Dancing Night (Afrojack's "Take over control" + Tooji's "Stay" - energy = Dancing Night)

Krystallia >>>>>>>>>>>> All the other put together.

Freaky Fortune's song is good, but I don't like the rap intro (I wouldn't mind this part to be somewhere in the bridge, but it doesn't sound well in the intro at all) and I also think this kind of song isn't ESC material. I can't imagine it being well performed live. And I don't view it as an ideal Greek ESC entry.

Martakis' song wasn't what I expected, I think this style doesn't fit him, but at least he doesn't sing in English which is a plus for me. These lyrics are kinda silly, though. Especially that "Hriste kai Panagia mou". OMG :?

Although I like Freaky Fortune's song more, I'd honestly prefer Martakis' song in ESC than Freaky Fortune's one. I think it's more representative of Greece.

Josephine's song is bad and sounds like a million other similar songs. And I doubt she can sing it well live.

knowing the way Greek's vote, I imagine that garbage from Freaky Fortune will win.

You definitely know the Greek public veeeery well

Crystallia's song has a good rythm but the lyrics are bad and they are meaningless so it's a good thing that you don't thing
because you don't know Greek :)

Sorry, but not only lyrics "i love you darling, let's get together" exist. Krystallia's song isn't commercial-style and the lyrics might not be ordinary, but they are by no means bad and meaningless.

Well, there is not such possibility...!

Yeah, the song is 100% for Greek lyrics, I don't think they'd even consider to have an English version of it.

It's really not the best in its genre (there are many much better entehno songs) but for me it's definitely the best of these 4.

After listening to them again, I find Freaky Fortune's one very catchy and instant too. I think what I said above that I'd prefer Martakis' song for ESC is abandoned. Because listening to Martakis' song again was kinda torture. His voice sounds very bad in such song. Not that it sounds good in other songs, but at least in songs of his style, he sings more freely. In this song, it sounds like he's singing while he's being strangulated. xrofl2
