The song refferrs to a very popular dance in Greece, so called "Zeimpekiko"...;)

As a song is a mix of the rythm of zeimpekiko (9/8) mixed with RAP (but the rap is also sung in 9/8 rythm; it's unusual for rap & I love this mix of music rythms, even though most Greeks prefer the pure zeimpekiko part!).

Unfortunately, though, the chorographer was inspired by the rap part of the song and devoted the zeimpekiko dance which was supposed to be the "subject" of the watch my dance song!


If you notice the video, at the part that the dancer is spinning arounnd his head :p (and the director put all the light on him:mad::twisted::eek:) the singer is also doing some weird (for you:mrgreen:) steps. These are part of the zeimpekiko dance steps...

Hopefully they said that will change the chorography till May! :)

^Watch my dance is not rely on the rapper but on Loukas and the zeimpekiko, you will see it in May ;)

I kinda like it...unusual but I can't help the feeling that it could've been better...like something is missing (or is too much)...

Another thing that came to my mind today: After Stereo Mike and Loucas say together "To kefali psila ke ta heria anichta" I'd prefer a bouzouki to play the melody of the chorus once, and Loucas to dance, and then to sing the chorus!

can fully understand that u may not like the entry...after all a song is purely a matter of taste..but those two songs u r referring to, really are far apart.major difference,there is nothing POP (or pop-like) in the greek entry..on the contrary,we re talking abt a very 'greek' sound /as many others hv already posted the previous days, we hv 'zeibekiko'-under no circumstances does this fall into the category of 'pop'

How can you call Loukas's song "pop" just like that, comparing it to the 2010 FYRO Macedonian entry? "Watch my dance" is not pop!

Watch my dance is anything BUT pop...
As I explained earlier...

This is the FIRST time rap is occuring at 9/8, so for sure ita has also nothing to do with last year's FYROM entry...

Of course, if you will like the song or not is a matter of personal taste, but don't make comparisons with irrelevant things...

Btw, also the rap - pop combination is NOT always the same...:)

This song has either fanatic followers or fanatic enemies!! Nothing in the middle (apart of me! 65% of myself likes it, and 35% hates it! Oh, goodness mine! I'm schizophrenic!!!) :D:lol:

Actually, when I voted at the poll, the 35% of myself had control, so I gave it 0 points! Ok, I was really angry because Nikki lost, but now I got used to it! Go Loucas!!
