I still think its just going to be Max Mutzke. He sings well enough to get a good jury score and has enough fans for a good televote.

I'm waiting for the the live show to listen to the songs, but from the snipped they showed tonight Mutzke's song seems kinda generic

Oh I 100% agree. It's one of the worst of the entire line-up for sure. But then again

1 Generic songs have gotten lots of jury points over the years when they were sung well enough, and Max is certainly a good singer and also the most professional, routined one
2 He will surely get a good spot in the running order since they're not going to ditch the biggest name of the NF on 01 or 02
3 It's on at 10pm and the ratings will not be great. You don't need many votes to do well. Patty Gurdy finished 3rd in last year's televote with merely 50k votes, and I don't see why Max would be getting less. He has usually been winning the televote in every show he's been part of (the Raab casting show, NF 2004, Masked Singer, that Free ESC thing). Maybe the bubble rallying behind Ryk can change things, or some hardcore Marie Reim schlager fans are still awake but otherwise...

So it depends on whether the jury falls for the vocals of a generic song and yeah, I don't trust that combo lol

I really wouldnt rule out Marie Reim, i assume the german public and some esc Fans will really like it if she performs it well.
I have no idea if they enjoy ryk or if its too "complicated" (i remember him being dead last with the public the last time he participated).
And i hope they hear that Max's song is just not it.

I think Marie will battle for last jury place though... just like Ikke or Voxxclub, international juries don't seem to be here for Schlager.

I didn't specifically prefered any song tonight, but objectively, I was absolutely sure that Luca would win the last ticket. Never ever thought that Floryan would make it. I think it might have been powervoting from family and friends and maybe powervoting against Luca because he could have been a possible threat to some acts of our NF. Or simply ... German taste. Which is a threat for next week also.

That would kind of make sense. NinetyNine is very death spot-y, and "Tears like Rain" probably one of the better openers. This spreads out the faster Songs rather well too. But Floryan doesn't exactly fit anywhere... 2nd maybe? Potentially good spots for Marie, Ryk & Max IMO.

Floryan at 2nd place would make absolutely sense. I wish next Friday would already be over tbh ...

Tbh I find this hilarious. When the original 8 were revealed, I saw so many people joke "Forever strong is my #9, whatever gets added as the 9th song has got to be better". Now "Scars" is actually rated worse then "Forever Strong" on eurivisionworld and in the scoreboard app! Expectation, eh, outperformed!

If Floryan wins our NF, the other countries should disqualify us out of pity lmao

I'm still pissed off that "Do It For Yout Love" prevented us from earning the Triple (finishing last 3 times in a row" but this year, "Zorra" is slightly better and the UK sends an A-lister... so the chances are quite big for bo country to get in our way this time!
