Its more and more obvious that Ryk was leading in the Televote before the Juryvoting.
Top 4 in %:
Isaak: 20.66%
Max: 20.09%
Ryk: 18.27%
Marie: 12.29%

Yeah, I mean... Pretty sure Max would have won overall if voting closed before the jury numbers. And yes, given how close that is between Ryk and the top 2, it's very much possible the juries tanking him cost him a higher place in the tele vote too.

This freaking sucks all around.

So, I tried to use the numbers with the voting system many fans have demanded instead of the one that was used and got heavily criticized these days:

The jury gave 408 points in total.
I took the percentages of the public vote and distributed 408 points accordingly.
Here's the result:

JuryPublic voteTotal
Isaak
74
84
158
Max Mutzke
55
82
137
Ryk
51
75
126
Bondine
55
37
92
Galant
52
40
92
Marie Reim
40
50
90
NinetyNine
37
14
51
Leona
36
13
49
Floryan
8
13
21

(sorry for the layout)

So, if I'm correct, the only one who had an advantage of the new voting system is Floryan, cuz he was 8th (ex aequo with Leona) and with the other system he would have been 9th. Well...

INJUSTICE!!!!! xgaah

Is it really comparable though? With the old system, some would have considered to keep voting after the jury vote announcement, because every act could've still benefitted from getting votes. While with this year's voting, every vote not going to Isaak or Max would have been a complete waste.

I don't think this would have had a major influence or anything, but given how close the race was? I think if anything, it would have let to a Max Mutzke win tbh because I know some people voted for Isaak after the jury announcement, while they might have had kept voting for Ryk or Galant or whatever because the jury result was basically a tie with the old system...

Daaaang we overtook Zorra in terms of dislikes? xscared
Imagine getting more dislikes then a song combining a feminist message with men butts. How even.
And if that dislike number is true: that ain't only disappointed Ryk Fans, bcs Ryk doesn't even have that many likes lol the song is really just not popular it seems :/

I'm sorry if this has already been asked but, what is with that weird elephant noise that keeps sounding out occasionally in the song?

Honestly, I never notice them until I read about it. I really had to "search" for it, if that makes sense.
Didn't bother me that much to be honest.

The like to dislike ratio isn't a good sign tbh. Public and jury out of touch with what Eurovision fans actually want again?

Just for Ryk-supporters - he left a message saying in the end: " but maybe three time's a charm". Sounds like he will return sometime again. That's exactly what he said in an interview that he wants to stand on the ESC-stage. :)

I do hope so. Oh Boy is an amazing track and it could've achieved a very high placement in May. For me it stands in the same group as Amar Pelos Dois and Arcade. I still cant quite believe Germany didnt pick Ryk. But i guess the country I chose to live is always on the run from good results.

Given how much Ryk improved from 2018 to this NF, I really, really hope he tries again. Everything was better this time IMO. He just needs to get more comfortable with the camera, to get rid of that impression of being "distant", and get the emotion across better. And next time, he'll handle the pressure better too.

(And one can still hope that until then, we get our Fan panel back xshrug)

And I'd want Galant to come back too. They have the style, creativity & stage presense, they just need a sliiightly stronger song and they'd be great at ESC.
