Same. I don't know...Maybe we should withdraw. I never thought we'd come last this year...Maybe 22 or something...But last...I am left of words ...
Germany should never give up. It a great country with a huge musical heritage.
I loved LOTL and for sure didn't deserved that last place.
Germany should stay faithful to their roots and not follow the trends. The only this I didn't liked and I pointed out when a made my vote here was why singing Blood and Glitter in English.
Use that beautiful language.

I honestly think that we should withdraw. Our broadcaster ist actually really bad and will be choosing boring artists again that represented us in the past, just like Levina or Sisters. Additionally we have lots of other issues to come up with. Our staging wasn't really good again as well....And I think we might need a modern song in the future so the jury will vote for us...I don't see this with NDR...

And speaking for myself...I am just sad and disappointed. I am not interested in watching Eurovision every year and being dead last all the time....I'm tired of this. So tired.

I send to you a big and warm hug and to all my German friends of this forum, always kind and gentle .
You should not feel tired but only proud.
It's just a stupid song contest, lovely for our hearts, but nothing else. ❤️

Actually it was the first time in many years that I really supported our entry and hoped for a good result.. Sad to see that it made the last place and in the end even got less points than sisters (but well they got zero from televoting)

That's it. I think it is time for us to leave for now. Eurovision Song Contest is basically a wonderful competition but it seems like the European aversion against Germany goes beyond musical aspects and I don't know why is that. Don't know what we are doing wrong tbh. Maybe it is just not a competition we fit in.
Anyway, if we stay (which we will anyway) we should stick to genres in which Germans have been a long and good tradition, even if we keep flopping. I felt very comfortable with us being represented by a hard rock band. It felt German and it was genuine compared to the nonsense we rightly flopped with in the years before (thinking of Jendrik or Jamie Lee, lol)

We got 3 Top 10 entries in the 00's
We got 4 Top10 entries in the 10's (incl. 1 victory) - this "miracle" even happened during the financial crisis and Merkel´s reign when quite a few countries "hated the way we treated some Southern European countries".

I know this results is disappointing and undeserving - but honestly, other countries also deserve to be high(er) - and it´s still possible to get another Top 10 result this decade if you ask me.

if you've got a different explanation for our last place behind the idiot song of Croatia or cheap junk food crap like United Kingdom, go on and enlighten me

I've never believed in the "No on likes us" myth but tonight I really believe there could be something behind it.

Well… I have a phrase on my tongue

You can say it a thousand times, yet it’s not more valid.

Fact is, maaaaaaaany people around the world LOVE LOTL and I saw metal bands heavily promoting them and people promising to vote for them etc.

So either they just didn‘t do that (because their views on YT and Spotify went up in the last days so I thought they would) or the numbers of calls were good but not enough for a top 10. that’s the „problem“ with neighbour voting, the crucial points are from the neighbour countries and no, I would not like to keep juries for that sake. I rather take neighbour voting a thousand times than that jury rig.

Well, "rock music" was simply not popular this year at least in the televote. And maybe LotL were simply coming a few years "to late"??
