LOTL explain why the lyrics of B & G don’t glorify violence and it’s also neither about Satan nor death wish:

This is so awsome! I like Danny speaking in German! And I think that when they meet in Liverpool they will have fun hanging out together! They could compare whose hair is longer? It is great to have great bands as Voyager and LOTL representing the countries! xmetalxheat

Can we reach 200 pages before the Final? I think we can do it. Does anyone know what the highest number of pages for an entry was before?
From what I can tell UK 2014 is in the lead with 371 pages on the day before grand final, with UK 2015 behind at 239 pages and Sweden 2012 in third place with 233 pages.

EDIT: Oops, it seems that it was Sweden 2014 in 2nd place with 324 pages!

Yes I did look through all the relevant forum sections

I'm not a fan of :de: Blood & Glitter but this was probably the right choice for the best result they could get at Eurovision. This isn't as glam rock/metal as it portrays itself in my opinion. Think I would've preferred Will Church even if that had bottom 3 on the final written all over it.

It's a shame Patty Gurdy had a rocky performance and Frida Gold had to withdraw. :(

Happy for the people that do really like tis though like mauve and Mainshow. :)

I know UK 2014 was a big favourite but what massive chaos has happened for it to be number one. UK 2015 is understandable but how did Molly manage 371 pages

Okay, so after recovering from the shock of the bad sound mixing and some apparent In-Ear-Problems, my thoughts on our national final have actually become more positive. I will share in the order of appearance, but I put the Spoiler thingy because it's a lot of text and I don't want to annoy anyone. If you are interested though, I'd be happy if you read it anyway :)

I agree with you completely, also what you said about Trong and L. Spring. I think actually that these acts elevated their songs with their staging a lot. I enjoyed them a lot. Anica was good, but I have to admit that I didn't like the grass at all, should have been flowers. As for Will, yes, he had great vocals, but his song actually along with Ikke was at my bottom. And René ... I liked his studio version a lot (especially with the powerful chorus), but his staging downgraded every good part. I had the feeling that he was concentrating on his balance than on his singing. He could have made it so much better. Besides having rooted for LOTL from the start, they had the best package, I think!

I agree but I honestly read no one here that attacked someone harshly "Why don’t you like Blood & Glitter?" (Or I must have missed it.)

I'm truly surprised that of all threads this one was mentioned because I believe we're all very well aware that Germany will not suddenly be top contender or Blood & Glitter is THE BESTEST of best songs. On the contrary, some of us, including me, even said it isn’t even LOTL's best song. I think we‘re Germans are very modest when it comes to our song, after all the disasters in the last years. We‘re just happy and celebrating LOTL was chosen.
Well I was told to „geh mal raus!“, when I said that I don’t like the song. Which is for me just a somewhat nice way of saying „fuck off!“

Overall I just find it important to highlight that discussions are a vital part of this forum. No one has the right to silence someone else as long as things stay within the guidelines.

I mean, I get it: we are all passionate about Eurovision and our faves. That’s what’s keeping this contest alive after all. But sometimes people tend to idk go a little bananas imho.

This isn't as glam rock/metal as it portrays itself in my opinion.

I get where that idea comes from.

However, LOTL are not a glam rock band and they don’t intend to be one. Chris said he has always loved dressing up, wearing make-up. It’s not a part of their musical direction, it’s a part of his life. It’s his character.

I also wouldn’t describe their music in general as glam rock, in fact it’s even more dark wave with metal influences / dark rock than plain metal.

Blood & Glitter is certainly crafted to suit the masses but not for juries. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do not get a single point from the juries. It’s a bit tricky; it’s a family show and on first listen they could seem very dark & scary for some. I hope some televotes will be there to gain.
