What about involving Michael Schulte in the songwriting camp? He was obviously the decisive factor this year and he and our HoD are very close friends as it seems now.
He's not new to songwriting camps, he co-wrote some (English) songs for German acts and also placed one of his songs in the Lithuanian national final this year... I just think the NDR should somehow keep up the connection to him

OMG I just had the exact same thought and posted it in the 2018 thread. Would totally love that! I also hope the ARD will continue to support him.

Nah, I don't want any party music sent to ESC next year. It can be a risky song though. It shouldn't be similiar to Michael's song, I agree with that. Even though we made a wonderful 4th playce, we should try something different and take a risk. But it will be exciting to see what we'll decide for next year!

Not another song like his, but he is a great songwriter as well:

This wouldn't be a good song for Eurovision but it shows that he can adapt to other genres.

I just don't want to have only 20 songwriters in the camp, I would love 100 Therefore we would have more songs to choose from and a higher change that there is one hit out of 100 songs for example

And I would like to have Michael perform in our next national final, because we never really did something like that and I think it would be a good thing to invite him to perform his Eurovision song and one of his other songs.

"Am 17. November 2016 wurde Malanda von einer Einheit des SEK in Oeventrop vorläufig festgenommen. Dort wollte sie ein neues Album aufnehmen. Ihr wurde vorgeworfen, fünf weibliche Fans zur Prostitution gezwungen zu haben. Laut der Frankfurter Staatsanwaltschaft bestand der Verdacht des Menschenhandels zum Zweck der sexuellen Ausbeutung, Zuhälterei, Körperverletzung sowie Steuerhinterziehung. Malanda saß daraufhin in der JVA Frankfurt-Preungesheim in Untersuchungshaft.Es wurde bekannt, dass in ihrer Bar in Frankfurt am Main zuvor bereits mehrere Durchsuchungen stattgefunden hatten. Am 18. April 2017 erhob die Staatsanwaltschaft Frankfurt Anklage gegen Malanda. Am 8. Juni begann der Prozess. Am 20. Juni wurde sie wegen 35-facher Körperverletzung, Steuerhinterziehung und sexueller Verführung Minderjähriger zu zwei Jahren und sechs Monaten Haft verurteilt."

Famous + edges: Farid Bang and Kollegah. Wouldn't be a good idea for a Eurovision in Israel... At least their career is hopefully over now.
