Back when the songwriting camp was some of the artists posted videos in their story on Instagram where you could hear some melodies or instrumentals (which was probably not allowed).

Of course it was only like 5-10 seconds, but Gregor tagged all the songwriters of "Let me go" - if it really was his song then I'm not a big fan of the snippet, tbh. I don't have high expectations for his song in general.
There was also a short snipped of a song from Aly which I didn't like neither.

But somehow I "guess" that this could be a good year for us again (no, im not in the panel this year so I don't have exclusive information)

Oh yeah, if a ballad - again - is the best package of the night - let's go for it. I think Makeda is going with the big diva moment (maybe similar to Wiktoria from Sweden) and Gregor is probably going to go all acoustic and intimite - they are both going to be totally different to what Michael showed us last year. Crossing fingers, it's the first time in years where I'm just excited for the night xD

Same here. Vocally-wise, they all seem good, and I keep my fingers and toes crossed that they will offer some decent songs that will thrill us! Looking very much forward to see Unser Lied für Israel!

Don't know, if somebody has posted this already, but Linus' song will be called "Our city" and talks about an imaginary place where you can realize your dreams. Interestingly the thing that makes this freedom possible is the absence of mobile phones and social media.

I would appreciate if my country (yes that is indeed Germany), would finally send a song again that I can genuinely enjoy.

This hasn't happened since 2011.

A song I can give at least 8 points to in the poll. But imma keep my expectations as low as possible...

That is actually the best - then you can't get disappointed. But … a glimmer of hope is always a nice thing.

I didn't like Germany 2018 at all..

I never connected with that song and singer tbh.. 1

I did connect with him too well because of the Background of the song. My mom almost died two years ago, She had to be reanimated three times. I don't want to think about losing my mom because she means the world to me. Michael's song expressed the feeling perfectly.

Michael's song was too close to home and too soon, I was more in the AWS stage of grieving then, though I can appreciate that song more now...

Andreas Bourani is also performing as an interval act with Udo Lindenberg how I'd love for him to write a song for Germany, not even the radio-friendly uplifting stuff but something like Auf anderen Wegen would kill me, one can only dream

I hope so - at least Lily among the Clouds is my favorite of them all … my wish would be that the German entry kicks everybody's ***. But hey, might also be a big disappointment. Let's see!

Would they really take the risk to get disqualified with this video if this is actually "Sister"?

Makeda said in an Instragam-Live-Video that any snippet could get them disqualified.

Btw: As far as I know, "Sister" was written in the Swiss songwriting camp last year. This camp was intended to write songs for the national selection in Switzerland in the last years ("Stones" was written in there).
