I wish you much success in Copenhagen winner Elaiza and firmly press the thumb. I embrace you, your count

He can firmly press my thumb if he likes.

The worst thing about all this is that I now won't be able ask Der Graf questions in May. I wanted ESCUNITED to ask him if he would like to have dinner with me whilst listening to Nico's Desertshore album.

Current itunes positions:

#14 - Is It Right
#22 - Als wärs das erste Mal
#28 - Wir sind alle wie eins
#32 - Like Lovers Do
#45 - Cotton Candy Hurricane
#58 - The Fiddler on the Deck
#95 - Candy Jar
#99 - Wir werden niemals untergehen

Expecting all to go up tomorrow. Btw, it's funny that neither of Unheilig's entries places in the top 20 currently (and especially after Elaiza). So you can't say everyone was voting against Unheilig, but simply not for Unheilig...

My two cents on this.

Great show. The winner is awful, sozzers. But what bothered me the most was the booing. It was utterly disrespectful and childish.

I mean, in the Belgian NF, I totally hate Udo & Yass, but I won't boo them at the Sportpaleis. You just don't do this.

Oh believe me, I've been watching this contest since I was a little kid...

Yes it's a contest, but imo it's a contest between entries representing their countries... not a contest of just music in general... which is what makes Eurovision unique amongst music competition shows out there.

That's what I like in your posts ! You underline each time THE initial paradox of the ESC : stimulate the production of quality music in Europe BUT to put it in a situation of concurrence. Which leads to a kind of uniformization AND the creation of a certain pan-European musical community.

Loreen is the perfect example : "Euphoria" was a huge success everywhere in Europe. She has thus brought the Europeans closer to each other, hence they all liked the same song at the same time. BUT "Euphoria" was not a popular traditional song who represented the long cultural heritage of Sweden...

Well, it's a paradox who will last to the end of the ESC. And you'll always find people to support you or to disagree with you...

It's also funny that Elaiza's other song is not even in the top 100.

Cause it was a bit rubbish, that's why. I'm surprised she even managed to make the final 2 with it. "Is It Right" was strong so she obviously made it on that alone. Unheilig had 2 great but quite similar songs and the wrong one went through. Santiano and MarieMarie both had a solid pair of songs.

Well I had a Great Night. All Acts were Great and the atmopshere was just wow! :)
Elaiza were a big surprise for me, I actually never noticed them before. Don't know what it was like on screen but they were amazing live and the crowd just loved them.
I was shocked about madeline but I did see this happening since "error" is way better then "like lovers do". But Hey, thats the Game. Great result for mariemarie :D
In the end I have to admit that I'm happy with the outcome and I hope That Europe likes "is it right. If You dont its ok too, of course :)
8 points from me and the best of luck to the Girls.
Now I have to wait 2 hours for my train. See You later :D

I'd like to think that even if someone was a massive penis I wouldn't boo them. A stone cold silence would say more and would be a lot more classy.

Der Graf of Unheilig is nothing but the finest gentleman. He didn't deserve such a disrespectful reception. I really do weep for humanity sometimes.

Today when I watched performance again, I saw tears in his eyes in the end of it and I almost collapsed!

And I saw Ruslana's reaction while he performed and I almost cried..and i generally hate her..that is REAL Humanity as RainyWoods say!!!
