The one quality song in Germany this year is Madeline Juno's 'Error'. It would be a huge 'error' by the Germans not to recognise this & send this song to Copenhagen where it would finish top 5 assuming Madeline can nail the live vocal - on some live footage I've seen, she seems to struggle & she would benefit from backing singers, & some classy orchestration on the song. 'Error' is actually good enough to win ESC 2014. Fiddler on the Deck is abysmal in comparison.

I think there are several very good artists this year. Probably since many years the best selection because alle the 7 are different but still very good in there genre!! But in my opinion madeline juno or oceana would be the best choice... Oceanas voice and style of singing are simply amazing and she also has a big fanbase in eastern europe. I also really like the video, because its so sunny and could be a summerhit. But hey, all the artists are very interesting so lets see :-)

Echo is by far my favourite, but sadly it has zero chance to go to Copenhagen... xcry1 xcry1 xcry1

Das Gnagnagna Ich (I will never be able to remember that name), Oceana or The Baseballs would be perfect entrants. I've been positevely surprised by Unheilig. I thought I'd never love it !
Madeline Juno is kinda boring to me... I don't like MarieMarie.

Santiano is xscaredxsosxjason. Seriously, their songs are ridiculous. It screams the old clichés we may have on Germans. It would be such a shame. :de: needs something classy and over the top, not a drunk old men song...

I hope Santiano or Unheilig win the preselection. I like both. I think Santiano is different and it has power. Unheilig has a great voice and he has the most fans in Germany. So I think Unheilig win the preselection. Than I am happy too.

Santiano are just not right for eurovision.
Unheilig are boring and more suited to radio.
Madeleine Juno's voice is pretty whiney to my ears. I'm not seeing the hype for her.
Oceana is ok but pretty unremarkable.
Das Gezeichnete Ich are passable. Echo is ok.

The Baseballs would be such a fun, different entry. Mo Hotta Mo Betta is such a catchy bundle of energy that it would stick out a mile at eurovision.

MarieMarie is the no brainier choice. Here we have a unique, fresh talent with a really contemporary sound. She's the natural successor to Lena with the quirkiness.
Now watch her finish last in the NF:rolleyes:

Oh Jesus ! The rules are seriously a tough thing and I personally dislike them to the fullest !! I dont know whether they got explained already, however I just read them today:
So in the beginning, all 8 artists will perform ONE song. :( The audience votes per televoting 4 acts into the next round in which those acts present their second song. Then the audience deliberates about who got the best 2 songs and the procedure continues as two acts remain. Then the audience once again votes about those acts and finally we got the song for Copenhagen. Dont ask me how, but they might pick the song people voted most for for each artist .. I primarily dont get where the judges will vote (if there is one?) and .. the whole procedure just doesnt make sense ... :? And what annoys me as well is that we wont even get to hear ALL songs that were revealed :mad:

yes it's pretty bland and they already said that their wont be a jury :D
