Oto sure didn't disappoint yesterday. I'm hopeful about his qualification now. Him being at the bottom of so many people's lists is one of the great Eurovision mysteries of this century.

This has a chance to qualify, I always thought that. But I really have a problem with the concept behind the song. Claiming to be a "peace song" while at the same time the video is suggesting something else. If they really wanted to reach out to their taken lands (Abkhazia and South Ossetia), they should have included some lyrics or something from these two communities, they are Georgian citizens as well , riiight? This is the way to show them they belong to Georgia as well? I don't think so. Crossing the bridge, are these from the other side willing to see you crossing it this way? Anyway, I understand the point of Georgian song, but please don't call it a peace song or a song that promotes tolerance and unity. It doesn't.

Overall, it's an ok song. I wouldn't mind seeing it qualify.

Ok so there seems to be some drama surrounding Oto.

A Georgian guy posted in the ESC Fan Club group on Facebook claiming that he and his friends are getting bullied by Oto, his fans and the Georgian Public Broadcaster for supporting Cyprus and not Georgia. He tells that he or his friend posted in a group for Georgian emigrants about supporting Tamta instead of Oto because she's got a better chance of winning or something, this got a lot of backlash from other Georgians who started writing what he calls "abusive" comments to him (I tried to use google translate but the translations make no sense so I only have his side of the story). Then Oto shared this post on his private facebook page (I feel weird about sharing the link here but his profile is open so you can easily find it for yourself) without hiding the original poster's name making him a target for cyber harrassment. In the comment section of Oto's post Oto, family members and fans continue to write threatening and offensive comments according to this guy. Anyone who disagrees in the comments is attacked. I've seen the comments but once again the translations are so bad it's really difficult to tell whether there's actual abuse going on or if the guy is exaggerating or making things up. Fact still remains though that Oto shared the original post without hiding the name of the poster which strikes me as unprofessional as he should know he's making the poster a target.

The Georgian Public Broadcaster published this article about the incident. They've included the original post without blurring out the name which once again makes the guy a target for abuse.

People are urging the guy to report this to the EBU.

The guy who made the post in the Eurovision group also claims that family members of Oto have been writing abusive comments to other Georgians in the group who don't support Georgia this year.

I'm very sad to see Oto involved in this drama. Especially since I don't think I've ever stanned this hard for an entry before. I don't know how much of this guy's claims are true. It could be true or it could be exaggerated. It's hard to tell when all the supposed evidence is in Georgian.

From that rehearsal snippet everything just looks so right. I think Oto will fight his way into the final. Either that or it will be the robbery of 2019. Songs people had down as qualifiers are disappointing and Georgia is the entry most expected to flop but has turned up all guns blazing. He could actually do this.

This rehearsal is BRILLIANT!
Thank you for being with me behind Georgian entry one more year in a row! xlove xheart
I want to see and feel this live in Expo Tel Aviv and then I can die! xfaint

Definitely a grower and especially since the rehearsals he even more deserves to qualify. It's much better live than many other songs. I keep my fingers crossed.

The original poster attacked first, said that Georgia can't qualify or win the contest so people should not vote for Georgia/Oto. This posts triggered his fans, I think it's pretty natural...

Oto claims that they try to mislead Georgian migrants.

But I think its unprofessional to post this kind of statements, there is always someone who doesn't like you, he should ignore haters :D

I still don't like the song but his voice is incredible and the staging phenomenal. Wouldn't be surprised if this qualifies

I loved the song from the first moment, yes, but the staging is just wonderful and takes the song to another level. Sorry Iceland, Georgia is my No. 1 now.

2nd rehearsal was mindblowing. So powerful!
And Oto has the best back vocals in the contest. They're not just "backing", but adding a whole new dimension to the song.
Impressive.

Tumblr, mostly.
I have to echo the sentiments expressed in this thread. Never gave the song much, if any, thought, but that rehearsal is impressive. The clip shows the best part of the song though, so it's only a question of whether Georgia can retain interest long enough for their epic pay off. If they can, this might very well be this year's token shock qualifier.
