I am conflicted. The vocals were strong as expected but the song is really doing nothing for me and the performance has really cringe worthy moments. I would like to sit on his face though #sorrynotsorry

Ok, you wanna get ****** by Slimane?? What do you dream at night?? :ROFLMAO:

I think the idea of the staging is quite nice: It puts the viewer in the very position of Slimanes lover as he interacts with the camera. The beginning - remembering a scene where they wake up looking into their eyes, him making a gentle gesture to touch her face… really sweet. But it also leeds to some strange camera-angles and I‘m not sure everyone appreciates that aesthetic.
For me it worked very well.

Oh boy, this is still haunting me from yesterday. In a year full with drama and nonsense, this guy is like lover who is here to calm me down and ask for forgiveness! I forgive you, Slimane! Chills every time he is singing this one, together with Croatia I just hope for a great result!

I love his vocals but the song is boring unfortunately. I like how it's staged though.

Reports from the jury show saying he struggled a little vocally today. Meanwhile, all other (jury) faves seemed to have delivered. Will be interesting to see if this will have an impact on the jury scores.

Sorry for the vocal flop. Humanly, I am with him. Although "Mon Amour" is not a song with a complex structure, it requires a great vocal effort to give it the right color. I was called a little bad but from the beginning I saw Slimane a little stressed, not comfortable with him and vocally fit to participate in the ESC.

Still jury top 3, don’t you worry darling Gjons Tears had the same moment in the jury show yet got those points.
Gjons Tears had a vastly superior song IMO. I'd think that counts for something too.

Slimane doesn't sound bad per se, but definitely tired. "Mon Amour" is a demanding song, and he had a tight schedule.

comparing this to „do it for your lover“ or „dont come easy“ is so out of place and frankly just a desperate attempt to diminuish the best vocalist this year.

As many people pointed out here, I’m always so clueless… mhm.
