I liked the rest of the top 3 tho, there's one better chanson song imo and Pony fucking X out of all entries... my God how I loved me some Pony X.

Some of those performances really added some unnecessary intros just to count as revamps huh? Also same goes for AMUI removing a section of their song and still singing over it.

Céphaz deserved better in that top 8 too tbh

Watching the time delay broadcast on TV5 Quebec right now, Barbara sounded as amazing on TV as she did on my laptop's stream

So I just finished watching the NF now and I am SOOO relieved
Midway through the show I received a notification from youtube with a video titled "Casanova - Tutti (France) Eurovision" and I thought that Casanova had won and I was just completely gobsmacked that France would go for something so incredibly beige and boring while having a gem like "Voilá" in the NF. Hell, even if Voilá had lost, Tutti winning over Pony X, Juliette Moraine, Philippine or even LMK would be a crime. So I felt really really good when I realized it was a fake spoiler Still, he came 2nd in the televoting which is ridiculous

Anyway, France is in it to win it this year. I don't know if they'll be able to do it, but it definitely has the potential to be a contender in Rotterdam.This kind of chanson with strings before the chorus and the climax in the orchestration in the end is very easily eaten up, not only by the juries but also by the casual audience outside. It's the kind of classy sound we associate with the French.
The only thing I would change is the camerawork in the last minute. I get the idea but I think the execution wasn't the best.

I wasn't a fan of Voilà when the broadcaster revealed the finalists and the songs last year (though most of the Indonesian Eurovision Fan Group member love it since the beginning). I found it was typical french ballad, nothing special.

I changed my mind after watching her performance. Awakened today at 3 AM, couldn't get back to sleep, I decided to watch the NF. I had expected some flops like Andriamad, moreover after watching its performance, or Philippine (kudos to the revamped tho). But I didn't expect to be bought by Barbara's performance. Listening to her intro, where she mentioned that she wrote so many songs yet remains unknown, gave me more the understanding of her song. The performance touched my heart at dawn. It is simple, and drawn all my attention to her song. I cried a little bit after watching the performance. So I was relieved and happy when this song won the NF.

Sadly not my thing (and I am not much of a fan of the previous chanson entries France had either). I haven't watched the performance though. So far a and a possible fanwank as I don't see it going that well in ESC.

Three positive things at least:
1. Much better than 2020
2. If I'm super wrong and it wins, it will be much better than the horror that was the previous winner
3. Barbara is gorgeous I am in love what is the secret


Pony X doing so well though it could have been my first of the year and my favorite French entry since Matador
