Just when we thought France had kinda cracked the code, what a massive step backwards this song is like something that would come 3rd in a U.K. NF, just dull dreary and cliché. I’ll give a generous 2 points for now just because of the nice vocals.

Why is it so disjointed? Every verse and every chorus changes in instrumentation, structure and key. The only consistency throughout the song is the increasingly irritating "you are, you are, you are".

I'm starting a conspiracy theory that the Swedes considered France a strong contender based off the French entries 2016-2019, and so they gave France a joke song in order to help Dotter secure her victory in Dotterdam

What kinda strikes me is that Alexandra says in the interview above that she had been present in Tel Aviv, and she'd never had such an experience in the whole of her 20 years long career in the industry... And then she selects this.

I mean, I could imagine some clueless person who "wants an empowerment song to send for a contest they don't really care about" choosing this, but managing to send this once you've actually been there and seen Michael's humiliation with your own eyes... Is beyond my comprehension.

Yeah that's what I don't understand. She saw who did well and didn't... Maybe she thought it could have the same success as Arcade ? But if so someone needs to tell her the same formula (good looking man with a ballad) usually doesn't work twice in a row (especially when the second is worst).

This isn't cool, because I really want vasil to win and this song is so beautiful. I know France is one of the countries that are underrated, but damn. I still want vasil, jaengu, montaigne, ds for Germany, Ireland and Spain to win and then in top 10 this wonderful masterpiece.
