Re: FRANCE 2012

Bruno Berberes? He worked so hard to make Eurovision relevant in France and bring good results so i respect him.

I can sort of see her having a "Coco Dance" type of song though.

Nope, she said a song like "Viens" would be appropriate for Eurovision! I xheart that song.

Re: FRANCE 2012

While I always advocate countries singing in their national language, and I'm usually against everyone singing in English, I do think the French would be well served to send something in English. Like it or not, sending a song in English (or at least partly) is just playing the game right. More people understand English and hence more inclined to vote for it, imo. While I appreciate the French sticking to songs in their own language most of the time, it wouldn't hurt to kind of expand the field once in a while. It'd only serve them well (assuming the song is still half-way decent).

Re: FRANCE 2012

I don't agree, WhoKnows. France sent English songs twice (IIRC, 2007 and 2008) and that really didn't serve them well. I liked the bilingual performance of 2001, but only the last part was in English in that song. I think that generally France stands a better chance sending songs in French. Like Serbian for Serbia (winning the post-1999 ESC with a non-English song is an impressive feat), or Portuguese for Portugal and now Italian for Italy.

xheart Lorie! She has lovely music :). She reminds me of my prof Spanish in France.

Anyways, Lorie would be much better than Eve :p

Re: FRANCE 2012

I would like to see the BB Brunes or Dionysos (the singer is the companion of Olivia Ruiz), their songs are good and it would be nice to send proper rock songs. Or in a more shocking and curiosity way, why not send Clara Morgane who is now releasing songs for the dance floor ? For those who don't know her, she was a former actress for X rated movies... Perhaps it would bring some masculine votes in an easy way...

OMG I would so like to see Clara Morgane in Baku, think of the controversy "Ex-porn star conquers Azerbaijan". LOL.
I do not think that Clara can actually sing though, Autotune does that for her.

For me, France is one of the most underrated ESC contestants ever. I usually appreciate their entries. Good luck for next year so.

OMG I loved Jessy Matador! And the performance just did it for me, I thought right there: "okay, this has 'summer hit' written all over it'!"
