I don't understand why people assume Loreen would go through with televote?

It's the blandest power ballad from the 00's we have all heard so many times plus it lacks recognizability (chorus and hook).

For sure the juries and the bubble will love it.

But the juries and the bubble fanwanked for this as well

And look how that ended up 😁

Yeah, I understand the fuss about this one. It's different, it's entertaining, it's catchy as hell and it definitely stands out.

Gave it a :10: just because I enjoy it more before the change of genre. That switch still puts a smile on my face, cause it's so unexpected. But I think I would've liked it more if it sticked to the aggressiveness of the 1st half.

On a side note, everything is so over the top this year, I think I'll have a seizure comes May xD

Edit: Never mind. That last part is now stuck in my head and it's just pure joy. Changed it to :12:. This is such a strange year lol

I don't think this can win though. Compared to Loreen who can do decently with both the jury and the televote (top 3 both for sure). I'm not sure Finland will be in the top 5 with the juries, especially with songs like Spain and Italy in competition.

I agree that Loreen would probably be top 3 in both the televoting and juries, but I think she could be a compromise winner, just as Ukraine 2016 and Netherlands 2019, but I don't see her winning either vote. Cha Cha Cha could win the televoting.
In the contrary, I don't see Spain and Italy getting more jury votes than Finland tbh. Eaea could go either top 5 or bottom 5 with the juries, Brividi is more jury friendly than Due Vite imo and finished 7th in the jury vote.
If the hype is big enough, Cha Cha Cha will end up top 5 with the juries, and if it wins the televote, it can win like Italy 2021.

Nah, I feel Marco Mengoni will do great with juries: Mahmood and Blanco had a jury-friendly song, but they messed up with staging and vocals. Marco is regarded as one of the best male voices of Italy, he clearly can't mess up with that. And Due vite is clearly the song juries always overrate (and I'm saying that as an Italian who likes Mengoni). Spain has the staging and the vocals, but I feel they will get similar votes as Shum.
I agree with you that, if Cha Cha Cha enters Liverpool with hype, juries won't screw it and will give it concrete chances of compete.
Unless Ukraine entering again as "the special guests" and getting 400 points by the televote, I feel the points gap between the winner and the runner up will be inferior to the gap between Duncan and Mahmood back in 2019 (27 points).

Thank you Finland :D I had already registered >100 scrobbles for this song on Last.FM before yesterday, very easy :12: here

Predicting a result in the ballpark of Blind Channel in Liverpool, maybe even better

I will upgrade from 0 to 7 because it’s unapologetically stupid and I watched the video already 5 times which is 4 times more often than Loren but also 5 times less than Marcus Martunis

:12: million points for this song and performance, I can't help but to sing along and rock my head whenever this comes on

I would say that it is an easy contender for the televoting #1 in May, but the truth is it seems like most people only start really appreciating this after the 2nd listening, after the 1st listen most people really need to take a breather to process what the hell just happened

I also think knowing the meaning of the lyrics and the concept of the song makes the staging and the genre shift midway much easier to understand, without that context I think it's pretty easy for people to just be flabbergasted at it all and not really get it for a while. But hopefully I'm wrong and everyone will be shouting "Cha cha cha" at their TV's in may because this is just fantastic.

Nice UMK's reportage following Kaarija from backstage warm up to the win.
I want to see more clips of the audience going ape shit crazy. I also hope they will show more audience shots during the actual ESC-performance because there will be thousands of people going mental during this song.

I'm curious how they're going to stage this at Eurovision. The UMK staging lacks the obvious narrative of the video, maybe it makes sense if you understand the lyrics, but to unfamiliar viewers it seems empty and nonsensical. Are they gonna make the staging a boxing/wrestling setting somehow, or depict it in a more symbolic way?
