Listened to the entries. I think all are decent, but none are great. I think Cicciolina and Eternity are the weakest songs in there, but both go for some nostalgic X-factor that might or might not pan out. Risky choice, not one I would go for. Lover View is very soothing but might just be a tad too boring. Don't see that as a future success. I Let My Heart Break is a decent ballad, but you're going to run into far better competition in that genre at Eurovision and this is not likely to be the best. Leaves us with Bananas and Looking Back. Latter successfully employs a very Sheeran-esque melody, but the song fizzles at the end and I don't think Aksel has the required charm to get the votes necessary. Haven't seen him perform live, maybe he really has some nice interplay with the camera, I don't know, but I doubt it. A song like that absolutely requires a good staging performance and I think it's just too much of a risk.
Bananas would be my preferred winner then. Of course the song is just dumb, but it's a kind of dumb I can tolerate, because it doesn't pretend to be more than it is. It has fun melodies, the lyrics are very likely to please the LGBT-crowd and I have to hand it to the producers, it just sounds good. It's not overproduced but actually rather sparse. Lots of sound effects to fill the voids, which is risky because it tends to distract, but here they are all used very effectively. Also, if they can really nail the harmonies that tends to sound very impressive live. Staging is easy for a song like this, just have them perform while doing some pseudo-dance like they do in the lyric video, it already works just like that. With all these potential upsides, this one has to be my favorite.
