Queen Erika singing one of my all-time favorites (not only from Finland, but overall)

xlovexlovexlove

Girl can sing, move on stage and is no stranger to visual performances. It bodes well for "Cicciolina", if you ask me.

I can't wait to know what she's got in store for us.

Another thing I love about Cicciolina is that it's not in English and it doesn't have to be. Sounds amazing even though I don't speak a word Finnish. That's what an international blop is! xheat
And of course I'm totally into countries sending songs in their national languages

The Finnish language is so suited to schlager bops. It's amazing. The only thing is I struggle trying to sing along. I find Swedish lyrics easy enough to sing but Finnish.... it's like this beautiful alien purring at super speeds into my ear.

I've got down the sexy "Synnyin syntiseksi, sori jos se sua haittaa" line though xheart

We are pronouncing our words like they are wrote. That's why most of other language speakers have struggles to pronounce them.

"Synnyin syntiseksi, sori jos se sua haittaa" ---> "I was born as sinner, sorry if it bothers you".

I'd hate to sound negative, but how can you guarantee that Cicciolina will even qualify? What if it's the (no pun intended) fanwank of the season, and no one outside the bubble understands or likes it? We see this happen to someone every year.

Convince me.

Step out Norway and Sweden, we have new kings in the north! Who would've thought Finland would join none other than Iceland in a "great lineup" league for 2020. No bad songs tbh! Even cheesy "Eternity" is listenable and quite enjoyable if I'm in the mood.

1. Erika Vikman – "Cicciolina"
2. F3M – "Bananas"
3. Tika – "I Let My Heart Break"
4. Sansa – "Lover View"
5. Aksel Kankaanranta – "Looking Back"
6. Catharina Zühlke – "Eternity"

"Cicciolina" - such a bop omg. That chorus beat. B l e s s. 10/10
"I Let My Heart Break" - sounds like the love child of a Moldovan Ballad with one produced in San Marino. What's not to like. Cristina Scarlat born again in Lapland.
"Looking Back" - it is a nice attempt but stays in its lane way too much and doesn't become too adventurous for me to get hyped.
"Bananas" - Woah, quite fun! Finnish Little Mix. Needs more bananas.
"Lover View" - Sorry Sansa, but you won't become the Queen in the North this time around. Hmm. Not too bad actually. Could've been a Melodifestivalen 2020 entry.
"Eternity" - this song has so much cheese that it could feed the entire country of Finland for literally an eternity; bless your heart Catharina
