It`s sad that people in Europe don`t apreciate songs in finnish language. I think it`s a very beautiful language. Shame, Europe! Shame!

I agree but merely Finland itself should shame. Since the abolishment of the language rule it has sent a song in Finnish only twice.

The first time they scored 22th and the second time they were ROBBED by the PERKELE jury :twisted: ...

Maybe they fear to send a song on finnish, because this year only 1 song in a language different from english qualified for the final and that was the serbian one. All other songs in languages different from english on final were from the Big 5 and 3 from the Big 5 sanged on english.

I also think that the Finnish language is beautiful. I felt disappointed that Tyolki Ellaa didn't reach the final last year.

I have no an overall opinion for the language or the songs of Finland but i have recently listen ''Happoradio'' and i would like them in the next esc
i donot know if they have any interest for exc....
And i have to agree that suomi sounds great...

I like Finnish language but Finland should participate with an English song imo.

Well finlandas also participate with songs in suomi and they were amazing in my opinion....
Like ''Missa miehet ratsastaa''.... nc song :p

About happoradio that i wrote what do you think?
Iwant the opinion of someone from finland...

This comes from Finland...

Personally Happoradio is not my personal favorite. They have some good songs, but nothing that great really. Che Guevara is probably the best they've got.

What I would like to see, are something like these:

Poets of the Fall - Given and Denied
Great music here. The vocalist Marko Saaresto is a great songwriter, and this ones one of the PotF's best songs. They will not participate, though, I'm sure.

Neljä Ruusua - Öisellä rannalla
This one's a long-time national favorite, debuted already in 1987. The vocalist Ilkka Alanko is IMO the best songwriter there is. His lyrics are unrivaled, none of other finnish writers cannot reach the heights Alanko has. They could participate, but I highly doubt it. Would be great, though, since they are starting to be active again this summer. They quit in 2007.

Jussi Hakulinen - Rahat vai kolmipyörä?
Another great songwriter and singer. His songs probably wouldn't do well in ESC, but he has actually considered taking part. This one was actually intended to take part, but he couldn't keep it short enough. I couldn't have even worked as a 3-minute song anyway.

The finnish language is so great and I study it now (and gracefully failing :lol: )

If you want, you can come to the finnish speaking tread i created. Πάμε! (I can speak a little greek too ;) )

But i didnot speak suomi yet
To return in esc from Happoradio i preder Che guevara but it is too old for esc(2006)
