Group A:

:se: vs :fr: 2:1

E: 50m Goal from Sweden in the 93st Minute:

Absolutely lovely goal. We lead the group now with four matches to go, never thought we would even have a chance of making that first place to begin with.

Ironically since Zlatan left your team, sweden is much better than in the last 10 Years when Sweden failed either the qualification or missed the KO-Rounds.
I think 10 Points (with a draw against netherlands) should be enough with a bit luck.

I think Germany will "only" win about 4:0 which would be a Success for San Marino.

Group C:

:az: vs ::ulst 0:1
:de: vs :sm: 7:0
 vs :cz: 1:1

Group E:
:pl: vs :ro: 3:1
:me: vs :am: 4:1
:kz: vs :dk: 1:3

Group F:

:sc: vs :en: 2:2
:sl: vs :mt: 2:0
:lt: vs :sk: 1:2

Group C:

No Surprises here. Germany will end up with 30 Points in the End. Azerbaijans Good Run has come to an Ende, there will be no Playoff-Debut this Year. Northern Ireland will probably end up Second. Czech Republik is getting worse year by year.

Group E:
Poland will be the runaway Winner. At the Beginning i expected a much closer 3 Horse Race. I miss the old times when Romania was feared all over Europe in the Early 90s. Since this Group is the most balanced group, Denmark might be again the worst 2nd Place in the End.

Group F:

England with a happy draw, but yet there is no doubt that they will be the clear winner in the end. Slovenia and Slovakia will have an exciting Fight for the second Place.

I wouldn't rule out Scotland just yet...and England is not as safe as it seems imo...

But now that Lithuania lost today, i'd say they're out of the race:)

Scotland has a few Chances for the second Place, but i dont think that they will make it. England has 6 safe points from Malta and Lithuania left and i think that they will get at 3-4 Points from Slovakia and Slovenia.

I think that :pl: and :de: could become both the first European QF teams in September 1, if they beat :dk: and :cz: as visitors as well!

Tomorrow Iran could become the first Asian QF team (if they beat Uzbekistan at home) and possibily 2 days later :mx: could also QF to 2018 WC if they beat :us: at home too :)

We can still for sure get second place. We need to win our remaining 4 games, but we are the only one of the 3 seciond place contenders who doesn't have to face England again. If we play like we did in the last 2 games, we can win the next 4.

Our final match are :

Lithuania(a)
Malta(h)

Slovakia(h)
Slovenia(a)

The problem isn't finishing second, it's getting enough points to finish above at least one of the other second place teams. We just need to score as many points as possible and hope.

Shame we didn't win today. We were more clinical and within seconds of doing it.

btw :sl: Milivoje Novaković retired yesterday...with 32 goals he's our 2nd best scorer in history

Now from still active players, our top scorer is the defender Boštjan Cesar with 10 goals:lol:

Groups A, D, E and I are also very tight, so there may be hope for Scotland to not be the worst second placer, in case you guys are able to finish as runners-up. Obviously those two matches against Slovakia and Slovenia are the key.

I don't think that Group A will contain the worst 2nd place. The group is close, since there are three teams fighting for the first place, I don't see Bulgaria with them. Groups with a runaway winner, or with more than 3 equally strong teams, are more in danger. Like Group I. If Croatia continues its streak, probably it will be a bloodbath between Iceland, Ukraine and Turkey. Also Group D and E are in the race, just like mentioned before^^

Yeah that's right, I didn't realize France and Sweden both have already 13 points, so probably no way that the worst second place comes from that group!

Important last minute win for Iceland through a header by Hördur Magnusson

I was complaining all the time how bad their set pieces had been so it was a sweet irony the goal was scored after a corner.

All in all it was a veeery tactical match (I use this word to avoid "boring") with two very solid defense lines, many physical fights in the midfield) and hardly any goal chances. They just cancelled each other out.. Iceland put their trust a lot into set pieces and crosses from the wing... they sucked a bit in counter attacks though.. Croatia.. Don't know what Croatia tried today they looked liked they just came from a two weeks beach holidays.. no concentration, no body tension. Well, I don't complain

Now we have one more advantage to Turkey and Ukraine (beside the 4 points we got out of the matches against these teams)... it's a shame that Kosovo and Finland are fecking useless though.. I fear there is a chance that Iceland fails against one of them (probably Finland) :? Memories of the first match are still pretty present

Oh well, let's go forward step-by-step

ÁFRAM Island!

Group D:

:rs: vs :wale: 1:1
:ie: vs :at: 1:1
:md: vs :ge: 2:2

Group G:

:it: vs :li: 5:0
:il: vs :al: 0:3
:mk: vs :es: 1:2

Group H:

:xk: vs :tr: 1:4
:fi: vs :ua: 1:2
:is: vs :hr: 1:0

Group D:

As expected 4 Teams in the same league. Everything is still open, but i hope that :ie: makes it, since they have one of the best Fans in Europe. Wales might fail unbeaten in the End. Austria lost 2 direct comparisons so they are nearly out.

Group G:

As expected a 2 Horse Race. I think Spain will make it. I dont get how :il: and :al: can both win 3:0 outside instead of at home.

Group H:

My favourite Group. As expected the most exciting Group this season. I wished that all 4 could qualify but i hope that :hr: will win and :tr: wins in the Playoff. :is: is very lucky to shot that much goals in the extra time.

And once we even won :O

Yes but i meant our match at home when Ireland shot the 1:1 in the 93 Minute. Or in the WorldCup 2002 when Ireland also shot the 1:1 in the Extra Time.
