Great matches yesterday :D

I felt bad for :eg: yesterday. They are a good team and they are well organized but they lack the experience for this kind of competition. Also, some of the coach's decissions were questionable. ::uy deserved to win but they have to play much better if they want to fight for the first place in the group.

:ma: - :ir: was also a good match. :ma: was a better team but they didn't use their chances and, as it usually happens, they were punished for it.

:es: and :pt: both gave us an outstanding match last night :D :es: played much better than expected (knowing what kind of problems they are facing) and, on the other hand, Ronaldo played one of the best matches for :pt: .Terrific performance. It will be very interesting to see who will end first in this group.

Looking forward to today's matches xcheer :D

Good first result, a draw against the group favorites that wasnt expected...
Now, I hope we can beat Nigeria and then we have palpable opportunities to advance!

Would wish that Iceland and Croatia would win this group ... but that's just wishful thinking, of course. :)

I’m not convinced the Croats have the right center-back pairing.

Lovren and Vida are playing today. Corluka is injured I believe but I’d like to see Duje Caleta-Car star ahead of Domagoj Vida.

:pe: 0-1 :dk:

I wouldn't exactly call our win the result of a brilliant game. Missed penalty and a plethora of chances for :pe: - thank God for Schmeichel, who was world class, today.

Hopefully, :au: will be more suited to our style of play.

Well Croatia have been good but not great .I thought Rebic and Kramaric was good in that first half. They could easily win this 3-0 if they play the way they are capable of.

Croatia 2 Nigeria 0

Nigeria were very average today with not a lot of imagination. Croatia were playing that 2nd half at walking pace at times. It wasn’t until the penalty given did they seem to wake up. When they started pressing Nigeria they began to create more. Brozovic did inject some energy when he came into the team for sure. All in all a comfortable win for Croatia.

Agree. But loved the goals from Spain too. Great shots! Ronaldo ... great player, but he always looks so arrogant, not my type at all! I thought that the match could have been a final from the intensity.

Hahaha, lol, the same! Besides music, looks like we have similar taste in men, we both love Alexandar Rybak! Alex Rybak >>>>>> C. Ronaldo, any day! ;) :D  Sorry for little off-topic, but I simply never loved Cristiano, he looks narcissistic to me, which is rare thing among women and gay men, everyone finds him outstanding looking, I've never got his appeal and I will never get it. :) He is great player, and I see him only like that.

Would be nice if Croatia could reach one point against Argentinia. Who knows? :D

Croatia is usually doing great against the top nations. They can develop much motivation in those matches. I can see them beating Argentina. Then, Iceland beats Nigeria and in last match Croatia & Iceland arrange a draw which will help both to advance to Round of 16. And Argentina can do whatever they wont and still will be stuck on 3rd place

I am really proud of :is: :D I was hoping for a surprise but I didn't expect it. Marvelously played. Even though Argentina had 80% ball possession and even with a penalty, they still couldn't break them down down. I think :is: has a very good chance of making it through now. I am also happy that :hr: won over :::ng: . They can do even better than this but it was enough for the first match :D If things go well in the second round, :hr: could indeed beat even :ar: .

In the other group, :fr: beated:au: as expected. They will probably time their form for the knockout phase but even with half capacity they should still end first in this group. :dk: was not as good as I expected but I am glad they won.

has shown that it's a pretty tough team albeit inexperienced. With another positive result in the next two matches, :dk: is gonna make it through.

European teams started off really well and now it's our turn to continue that trend and beat ::cr .It will be a pretty tough match on both sides. Costa Rica is a compact team in all lines and it won't be easy to break them. But, we have to win this match to have realistic chances of making it through at the end. I think the chances are 50-50 and one mistake can decide the game.
