Group A: BORING!
Group B: Spain and Portugal will be the match of the first round
Gruop C: I guess many will rule out :pe: , but remember that South Americans are used to play with powerhouses. If :pe: beated :br: (Copa America) and ::uy (Qualifiers) and tied :ar: twice (Qualifiers) ...there's still hope xcheer
Group D: Iceland and Croatia face eah other again. Argentina might not be in its best time right now but surely is always a team to watch out.
Group E: Gonna cheer on Brazil and 2014 sensation Costa Rica!
Group F: The grupo of death IMO. Mexico has always survived to though groups, so it's going to be interesting.
Group G: meh
Group H: After Group A, the less interesting group.

I like our group, despite I fear a little for Sweden. Iceland's also in a horrible, yet the most interesting group. Denmark has it easier, but it's possible they fuck it up once again :D

Well, no more words about Group A. The real World Cup starts one day after the opening match and I do hope that either Portugal or Spain will be weaker than we think, so that Iran or Morocco can take the surprising chance.

England and Belgium have an easy group and most probably easy opponents in the 1/8 final. Group H might be interesting, as all the teams are more or less equally strong, but I'm not sure if they can beat the first mentioned.

I hope for many exciting matches. Many things are possible, even though the final 8 nations might be the ones many are expecting

I'm actually really excited to have our neighbours :es: and :ma: in our group :D plus :ir: whose coach is portuguese

Sure, it was bad luck to have the strongest team in pot 2 in our group but I believe that we can qualify if we play well ;)

As I often do, I try to count out if only the last match between two teams were counted how would the World Cup end? I used this website and well it would end something like this I believe.
(If two teams never met each other, then it will count as 0-0 in the group stage. In later stages, then the current FIFA ranking decides who will pass. If it ends a draw in the playoff, then the most recent match that didn't end in a draw will decide who qualifies.

GROUP A

GROUP B

GROUP C

GROUP D

GROUP E

GROUP F

GROUP G

GROUP H

Round of 16

Quater Finals

Semi Finals

Match for the Bronze medal

Final

Iceland faced Nigeria in a friendly in 1981 and won that match 3:0, consequently they would win the group in your simulation.

Yeah, I found it now on FIFAs head-to-head search (the one I want to use, if it wasn't that they exclude all UEFA Euro matches, which is a pain in the ass..) that they did meet back then, so updated the playoffs, which turned out to be somewhat interesting. ;)

He is just making a simulation. Also, there is no way of Saudi Arabia defeating Russia in the first game. That first match is a lock for 2:0 for Russia (and could be the only game that Russia will win..).

Might be a bit too early to discuss the 2026 WC but the hosts will be announced a day before the WC in Russia kicks off and despite being a David v Goliath race between USCANMEX and Morocco, there is a big confidence that Morocco can pull it off to finally host after 4 attempts.

With key strong points is that it sits right in the middle of the timezones where West meets East, the distances of travel is a maximum of 70 mins from Laayoune to Tanger by plane compared to Canada and Mexico where it's 5 hours. This also makes it easier and lots cheaper for fans to travel to the next location. There are concerns of infrastructure but it is not a problem die to the fact the highways are all news and maintained in great condition, in summer is the launch of Africa's HST and all major cities have an airport.

Stadiums are mixed with current and new projects compared to the United bit which will only consist of old stadiums

As a Canadian, I hope Morocco wins. I just think FIFA is too corrupt. I don't want my hard earned tax dollars going towards paying for some corrupt FIFA official to get a chauffeured car around Edmonton. More importantly, football isn't very popular in Canada, I don't think our national team has ever qualified for the World Cup. At least in Morocco, football is pretty popular.

They changed the voting procedures from 2026 which requires votes from all confederations, already there is full backing from the CAF + Qatar for Morocco including a conference at UEFA and WAFF it probably be vital to encourage both Europe & Asian countries as they would be the decider

My selfish reasons aside, I genuinely hope Morocco wins. I think you guys would throw a fantastic cup and the excitement and enthusiasm would be hard to beat.
