I knowww, though I haven't watched all of the first 13 episodes. :'D The thing I love the most about is that it makes me laugh so hard and cry at the same time, and the acting is great without being cheesy stereotypical comedy.
The acting is amazing! Some of the actresses are exceptional (eg the one who plays Crazy Eyes). And I like how they focus on a different inmate in every episode.
Generally I love shows and movies that have to do with prisons (even documentaries!). I was always interested in their life in there (don't want to experience it though
). I doubt I missed any prison related movie whenever it was on tv!

I adore Castle, Barnaby and Elementary, I love detectives.
oh i'm watching this - i am really enjoying it as well but its a bit slow.
My Mad Fat Diary is actually set in the county i live in.

I got over My Mad Fat Diary and Please Like Me just in one day, I need 'em longer Thats the difference between the UK and USA series. a British series is usually between 4-12 episodes long, whereas American series tend to be like 30 episodes long. However Americans tend to drag the hell out of an episode (they make what could be a great 1 episode, quite a average/poor 4 episode) An example is Under the Dome for example, and Once Upon A Time. I guess the budgets are not as big as in America to produce huge series, not decent ones anyway.

Longer series usually have a point to make viewers pall, like How I Met Your Mother (I was almost leaving in 8th season) and like you said, series like Under The Dome could be more qualitied 6 episodes instead of 12 but series like My Mad Fat Diary always have a theme to process, haven't them
I mean I could watch Rachel's socialphobia troubles all day long. Anyway, who is your favourite character in Under The Dome?
