Italy:

I always imagined Italy with a more colourful retro backdrop, but on the other hand, the staging (dancing, placement,..) is exactly the same as I expected it to be. The song is not one of my favourites, but Nina has a very good stage appearance & charisma. Her vocals sound OK too and she's probably reserving her best for the big night.

Italy - a lil' bit static performance. She doesn't use her vocals on full force and it's justified. The backing vocalists stand close to her but they sound well together.
A lil' bit boring beginning, I was really interested in the middle and predictable ending. Gonna wait for her other reherasals, with normal costumes etc.

Italy:
where are those drums when she says "boom boom"? :? I hope they didn't removed them or toned them down cause they were the whole point of this song.
staging as expected (I read bf that it will look that way), decent, not much can be done with this type of song xshrug
vocals seem fine, at moments a bit less fine (not sure if it's her or video quality)

Italy:
For a first rehearsal this did not suck at all, I think. Not bad, not bad at all. But did Nina just arrive in Baku? She sounded and looked a bit tired.
Her vocals were nevertheless quite good, but a few times she sang certain words a bit too long. What was disappointing however was the backdrop and the positioning of the background singers. I expected things to be more in line with the atmosphere of the song. The black and white backdrop was just quite boring. It lacks grandeur and oomph. More uplifting colors like red and yellow/gold would've been really nice.

Anggun is sexy as ever, and that white long scarf just adds more to her sexiness!

Nina singed well, but I think the chorists are too much close to her on stage. And they'd better be behind her, not on her side. The way it is now, Nina is not at the center of the screen, and this is not good.
Furthermore, they should make a better use of lights, with just a cone of white light over Nina and dark surroundings. Rona Nishliu from Albania is the only one who made the best use of stage lights, if you ask me.

So far, Germany leading the big 5 for me - although I might be a little biased!

Exactly my thoughts...worst backdrop so far, imo. :(

I see a lot of room for improvement here...and I'm hoping for it.

Germany : The real problem with his performance is that he just like he says in the song is just standing still. Vocaly he does a good job and his charisma either works for him or it doesn't work at all. But get some movement into the performance please.

France : Interesting choreogrpahy they got going on, Anggun sings the song decently enough and the background is quite nice as well.

Italy : Despite standing in one spot the entire song Nina has got more movements going on than Roman does. Vocaly Nina does a fine job carrying the song. The background is a bit disappointing I was hoping for something a bit moore colorful.

Hmm, I don't know about that. I can really see what you mean, I understand the idea, but is it suitable for the Eurovision viewers? That lighting maybe a bit too somber for Eurovision, I'm afraid.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere used for Per Sempre, at San Remo's festival (red, gold) and that could fit this song also very well.

Sweden - I'm not a fan of her new outfit, i like it more in the NF, this seems to be very heavy and her dancing is not as soft as before... Also she had some problems with the vocals, but i'm sure she can fix it till semi (awesome voice!) Hoping, everthing will fit for the semi-final

Germany - Roman, just perfect! His vocals are very, very good and they have good sound in the hall. Also like the band and the simple perfomance. It's that what everything expectet and what fits to the song. Anything else would be too much imo. Roman is such a charming guy and with some playing with camera (what he can very good :D) he could reach TOP 10. But in my opinion he deserves Top 5. It's not a real ballad, so maybe he could have chance! :)

France - don't think her vocals are that bad as some said here, but i also dislike the staging, it's a bit messy. And now i dislike the song too, sometimes her singing don't fit to the music... ?! Oh now you're right, the singing gets worse as longer the song gets!

Italy - She is very good, her singing is great! I also thought there would be some 60's background.. But I don't think it will reach a high position, because jazz or 60's-swinging-numbers are not as good as they deserve in ESC.

I totally agree with you. But I'm not too convinced this will be the definite backdrop. I'm still hoping for male dancers in costumes, like on the video. Everything else would be both surprising and stupid. It could be such an elegant show, but they decide to make it this dull? That is negligent and would make me angry. So maybe the black/white backdrop was just temporary to get some motion at all back there? Anyway, if this is the final italian wrapping I'm utterly disappointed.

I am curious about Azerbaijan. I said from the begining that top 3 could be Sweden, Romania and Azerbaijan. Let's see if Azerbaijan remain or I will replace it with Serbia.

What an amazing voice, what an amazing performance. I fully support Azerbaijan winning it for a second time in a row.
