How could Russia be saved from the jury??? Russia is in, because they got high marks from Estonia, Latvia, Belarus, Moldova and maybe Slovakia too. That's all. And Slovakia was indeed robbed
Estonia? I don't think so. At least not 12 or 10.
Definitely not from Slovakia.

Well, I'm not so shocked that Slovakia floped. Kristina had a very bad performance, she was so scared and shaking all the time. I'm very sorry, but I predicted this will happen after I saw her performance tonight
And Russia WTF?

Shame, I was almost looking forward to eating that hat... :p

Anyhow, I'm glad to see Portugal, Iceland, Bosnia and Belgium get through! I really wasn't expecting Portugal at all! I guess jury votes do help!

I'm a bit miffed 'Butterflies' got through, but oh well... Different horses for different courses I suppose! [/cheesy cliché]

Congrats to Belgium (the best tonight imo), Serbia, Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Vukašin really surprised me, great performance)

Belarus song was indeed cheesy. I just imagine during all the song that they would fly very far away from there. And then the butterfly wings appear, and I thought what the hell is that?!

I heard the Russian entry for the first time today (every time I tried to watch a video from the NF seeing his face made me stop it after 4 seconds) and I have to agree, it's ridiculous. Also, I didn't expect Albania and Belarus to qualify and I'm sad Estonia didn't make it - although I didn't really expect him to. On a positive note, we'll see Tom Dice again on Saturday! I think he did great. :D
Oh and there's one more thing that's been bugging me - is Latvian song some sort of a joke?

And the girls' faces were so utterly fake it made me sick.

I've been wondering the same about the Russian entry. I'd respect it a bit more if it was a parody of a traditional Russian love song, rather than it being simply... a bad 'traditional' Russian love song? :?

But I think the Latvian entry was serious. Her facial expressions were a bit OTT, but I was still surprised that it didn't get through.

I can't believe Slovakia is out! Not that I'd like it much, but it was doing so well in polls on our forum and it seemed to be just a perfect song for this contest.

I'm glad Russia qualified though I lost some money because of that ;]

Some songs didin't have a big impact on me, probably because I already listened to them too many times, but I still like them.
However Finland grew on me. I didin't really pay attention to it earlier, but after all I liked it.
Poland was fantastic, no matter what the result was.
Albania, Portugal and Iceland were disastrious, just I expected. These songs have no potential and I'll never understand people who voted for them.
I'm disappointed by Belarus. It was one of my favs before the contest, but their voices didin't work well together.

I almost voted for Estonia. "Almost" because I did it too late :p I was wondering to vote for Greece. Their song is not very ambitious, but there is something in it that makes me want to dance :p So I waited with sending sms for Estonia till the end and finally forgot about it. I suddenly woke up when they started counting down.

The show was poor and that woman leading it apprently had no idea how to lead a show. But it's only a semi after all, I hope final will be better.

And polish commentor pissed me off (just like every year) asking diaspora to vote for Marcin -.-

I think Poland and Slovakia should withdraw, we stand no chance of qualifying to the final.
Of course Poland sucked but Slovakia... I feel so sorry for them :(

We should have our own contest with Czech and Hungary. That would be cool!!
And call it "A circle of losers" :|

Very very true! All so fake!! I think that I would even prefer to see the "nature worshiper" (Slovakia) in the final than the butterflies, imagine if, and so on clichês.

Eurovision is officially dead to me.

The juries find only interest in American Idol-ish ballads and to help some random unlycky so called "western country" while central European countries like Slovakia and Poland has no chance what so ever.

And wasn't the juries job suppose to stop diaspora voting (Bosnia hello!?!?)... Again the juries failed to prove that they bring this contest forward, instead they are turning this into just another American Idol copy.

They want to kill etno and national sounding songs which is sad since the Eurovision soul will get lost.

No chance now Czech Republic and Hungary comes back and Slovakia and Poland will drop out... this basically means almost whole central Europe OUT of the contest...

R.I.P. Eurovision Song Contest

Was it only me who thought the show was actually quite bad?
I mean, only Iceland's performance was of any quality :(

Bosnia was imo well-deserved.

How is it possible to send Russia and/or Serbia to the final and leave Finland out!? My Finland   The most cheerful song of the contest!

And did they really have to do this? Leaving Iceland in the end?! I almost DIED! (died twice when there was one envelope and no Finland or Iceland)
And yes, yes I know it was random!
