After Humperdinck ;)

1. :se: Sweden - 5.9
2. :ru: Russia - 9.4
3. :rs: Serbia - 10.5
4. :dk: Denmark - 12
5. :uk: United Kingdom - 14
6. :ie: Ireland - 14
7. :de: Germany - 19.5
8. Norway - 20
9. :cy: Cyprus - 27
10. :is: Iceland - 27

Very happy with the United Kingdom, I admit I expected us to become less likely last night ;)

Aren't the most betting agencies in UK??? If so these odds aren't objective at all.

I know these odds are only slightly more than meaningless, but It's good to see Sweden doing so well..I imagine most of that is the hype around Loreen.

Yes, but in 2010 they gave odds of 150/1 on United Kingdom, they dont just favour it for no reason. In any case, Betfair's prices are not set by the company, but by the customers and who they think is gunna win - they wont place their money on the United Kingdom if they dont think we have a chance of winning ;)

Each booky has different odds, but one thing in common, sweden are favourites. All that hype over loreen.....sweden would make a HUGE mistake by not sending her!

It seems like it from the odds, but my view is that they'd do much better with Danny - he could repeat the success of Eric! :D

All of the major bookmakers have now opened betting on Eurovision - StanJames, one of the more recent ones has these odds:

1. :se: Sweden - 5.5
2. :ru: Russia - 9
3. :rs: Serbia - 10
4. :uk: United Kingdom - 13
5. :ie: Ireland - 13
6. Norway - 13
7. :dk: Denmark - 13
8. :de: Germany - 21
9. :is: Iceland - 21
10. :ua: Ukraine - 26

Yes,danny would most likely come top three, but maybe loreen could capture the attention of the juries (unlike eric and danny) and still get a big public vote.

Oh and btw, does anyone know how public and jury votes are combined? For example:ireland came sixth in juries, but tenth by the public....so there final result was 8th? Can someone explain this please?

Every countries votes are a combination of televote and jury votes. These scores are added together, and then the top 10 get the points.

The points of jury and televoted are counted together. The country with highest score gets 12 p oints, the country with second highest points 10.
In case of a tie, the points of televoting decides.

So it's not because you are 6th in jury and 10th in televoting you will be 8th.
Eg: belgium 2010 (2nd jury, 14th televoting=> 6th overall)
