Now that's how you do a logo.

Disappointed with the line up. I'm pleased with Loreen and Lordi, while Conchita, Dana International and Johnny Logan pretty much had to be there. But Herreys? With one of the worst winning songs ever? I'd be embarrassed to watch that song with non-fans.

Do the BBC really need to keep wheeling out Brotherhood of Man every year? Lulu or Katrina (whether with the Waves or not) would be much better UK representatives. I've never liked Puppet on A String and Sandie Shaw agrees with me, but I'm listening to her slowed down version now and am convinced that in that form she'd have been the best choice by a mile. She would have probably turned down the chance if asked, but still.

Most of all, I'm bitter about the omission of Lena.

Did the matchmaker and got a 4-way tie between the 50s, the 70s, the 80s and the 10s!

(I ended up choosing the 80s)

^ Lol I got the same  I bet those Loreen answers got me 10s xrofl2

As for the line-up, why isn't there the song that holds the record of points? IOTAP Instead we have Dima who didn't accomplish anything, really. Except first win for Russia.

I find the line-up a HUGE disappointment to say the least. A 60th anniversary show and the majority of the acts are from the past 15 years?! A joke. IOTAP SOOC

I'm not saying that recent acts don't deserve to be there, what I am saying is that every decade should be about 1/6th of the show, nothing more, nothing less. This is now a celebration of the past few years, with a little history sprinkled on the side.

Comparitively speaking they do have the record points holder at the 60 years, however you would need to look at average score due to the number of countries increasing. Brotherhood of Man has a higher points average to Rybak 9.64 vs 9.44. Dima is probably there so that Russia will buy the show to watch it even though most would prefer Rybak.

First of all,the show should not be before the 60th edition.
Secondly, i dont undestand the criteria where they have chosen these artists.
Do they want only winners? No.
Why not more artists? Where is Rybak,Lena,Marija,Ruslana,Sertab?
Also 2 of the 14 entries from Denmark? Really?
There are much more succesfull countries in the contest, with one or none artist, and Denmark has two?

+100000 about Herreys, wtf.

I don't agree about Brotherhood of Man though. That's the most famous UK song all around Europe, so it had to be that.

I kinda agree with you. But unfortunately many of the past artists died, are retired or are too old to perform. That's why I'd prefer recent artists (or majority of them), but performing entries from all decades, not always their own entry like they will do.

Yeah for me it's not important that the actual artists are there to sing their songs. I just want a fair and balanced line-up of songs from all decades, regardless of who performs them. :)

I am quite happy with the line up! A lot of people are saying what about this person or that group etc but we don't know who was asked, who was available, who wanted to do it, who declined etc, so I am greatful for just having the concert. And remember there are still surprises coming, so I there could be a lot more to look forward to.

While agree with What most are saying, we do need to keep this in mind. Maybe Ruslana declined because she has more important things to do right now? Maybe Lena wasn't asked because her song was pants and Nicole's was much better.

I can still be disappointed that loads of good acts turned them down and we're left with Diggi-Loo Diggi-fucking-Ley.

Too bad our only winner that didn't have to share the victory is not invited. Massiel would have taught us some fashion like she did yesterday in our national movie awards.

I guess BBC didn't invite her because they couldn't afford the rise of the alcohol budget would suffer if she went to the show

What about the other lady?
I liked her !

Well, Salomé doesn't have the career and popularity Massiel has and when it comes to ESC "La la la" is like light years over "Vivo cantando" in everything.
And Massiel is more fun. Just some gin-tonics before the show and ..... xpopcorn

Netherlands and Germany, are really pissed of with EBU,
because they also wanted to host this important event.
Netherlands said that they will not broadcast the anniversary show.
Germany is still thinking about it.
But here are the news...
according to the manager of Belgium’s Eurovision winner, Sandra Kim,
the Netherlands are preparing to host their own 60th anniversary Eurovision show!
It is unknown whether the show will be organised by the local OGAE or broadcaster AVROTROS.
