but offcourse GokTengri would have to go all maniac and think of this as some anti- Turkish/muslim statement

I don't care your anti-muslim behaviors since I'm not a muslim. But if you slander my country, I have the right to response you.

We kicked ottoman family out of the country but it seems their spirit doesn't still leave us.

We don't vote for anyone just because they are muslim, ex-ottoman etc. but we vote for Azerbaijan just because it is a Turkic country I accept that. People vote with national feelings but not with religious feelings and you're doing so wrong by mentioning *ucking ottoman and a religion. I'm going really crazy when some people say we still keep ottoman spirit alive because it's not true and bored of saying it so many times

Yes we vote for Albanians, Bosnians but we always give high points to Armenians as well, Morocco is both muslim and ex-ottoman but we didn't vote for them in 1980

What's the point with it ?

If you say '' Turkish people vote with religious feelings and vote for ex-ottoman countries ''

I can naturally go crazy.

Nobody can expect me to ignore such defamations.

I never slandered your country, but since you're an nationalistic troll and nothing more offcourse that's the crazy reaction we'd expect from you by now.

I've not said anything about how Turkish people vote but what Im saying is that you dont know how they vote, just as I dont know how the 60 million other Britons vote!

First there's no millions who vote in eurovision here ( maybe not even 20 000 ) It is not so hard to know at least in my country.

I know and accept, many people vote for Azerbaijan just because it is a Turkic country, OK. But if someone says, there are religious reasons for that, or based on ex-ottoman, It is a SLANDER.

That is the most hypocritical and stupid and ugly position I heared from a turkish fan till now.
So Azerbaijan can send the biggest crap (eg. Safura) and you will vote for the country and not for the song/performance. That is called political voting, my friend, and it`s WRONG
Do you remember that before 2008 (the year that Azerbaijan debuted to ESC) you always bashed Greece and Cyprus for blockvoting (no matter that they have the same music market), but when Azerbaijan debuted you started to do exactly the same?
You still bash Cyprus for voting for Greece and boooo when Cyprus gives their points. That is hypocritical, don`t you think ;)

You dont know that! That's like me saying British people vote for Ireland because we used to be the same country - that is one possible reason why we would vote for Ireland among millions of others!

It's not slander either, it is a perfectly legitimate opinion - just as I would expect someone to say that in a Worldvision Barbados would give 12 points to us because of the British Empire. I know you dont like Islam but you shouldnt get so het-up about it, nor about the Ottoman Empire - it's part of your culture like it or not. No matter how much you try you cannot scrub away the past.

I have never voted for Azerbaijan. I meant Turkish people in that post. And yes, It is wrong. Greece-Cyprus is wrong as well. But I don't really care it since it is a political contest and we are not only who do it. I just enjoy the songs and the show.

If you really think we live with ottoman culture today, I advise you to check history a bit.

The problem is not Islam, he said, people vote with religious feelings, I didn't see a Turkish ESC fan who mixed up his religious opinions with Eurovision. Maybe there are nationalist feelings but no religious feelings.

First you should realize that I live in this country. That's why I'm trying to oppose that opinion as I know Turkish people. It's really unfair. Turkish people don't vote with religious feelings, accept it or not this is the truth, ask every Turkish ESC fans you see if you want. They will not say the opposite.

How could you know my nation from thousands of kilometers away more than me.

You do not have Ottoman culture, but the Ottoman Empire is part of your culture, as it is part of your history. Just as it is for every other country that lived under its rule.

And its not about the opinion - I personally wouldnt think people would vote on religion but hey, ho who's to say they dont? Im sure some Roman Catholics here have voted for Ireland based on religion! It's more about the fact that you went crazy when A-lister stated his opinion, when he wasnt in fact insulting Turkey at all ;).

In 1980, Turkey didn't give even 1 point to Morocco. Turkey gives Armenia so high points every year. We gave even 12 points to them. And someone says, we care religion in voting.

Turkey gave 12 points to Armenia, right, but this was before Azerbaijan came in the game.

I don`t see how Turkey will give 12 points to Armenia when Azerbaijan participates :D
