I know a handful of people from this forum are intending to go. xangel So it's a given I suspect. I'm still on the fence though if i'll go because of other obligations I have.
Well we can set up a WhatsApp group or whatever social media people use nearer the time!! I think it would be amazing to meet you all xhug

Travelodge is apparently £650-£750 for the same duration in Liverpool but I can't justify that in my head for the lowest of the low in budget hotels

Yeah, my friends live quite a way away from Liverpool honestly but I'm just going to put up with that for the sake of a free(ish) stay. If Travelodge is almost a grand then I might as well spend all that money on transport to and from

This year is becoming battle of the bands!

Well, this is also what the 2007-2008 contest looked like: battle of the groups, and I'm reminded of the crack energy of these editions.

"All these" bands have to qualify first and even though I really like :mt: and :lv:, I don´t think that they will be qualifying since semi 1 had shaped to be very competitive (and :rs: :pt: :se: :az: still have to pick their entiries).

Oh and :ie: and :sm: won´t be qualifying, either.

Including Albina's family group and adding Lord of the Lost, as of now there are 10 bands participating in ESC 2023, which accounts for nearly a third of all entries. There are 3 duos (Austria, Ukraine and Netherlands), and the rest are soloists

I'll watch PZE as I normally watch their final, but I'll try and have Moldova's on too (hopefully there's not too much of an overlap?)

Loreen will be a tough competitor, but Finland will give Europe a more permanent mark than a Tattoo!

Moldova starts at 5 our time and Serbia starts at 5 past 8,unless Moldova overruns there is a 5 min gap between the end and start

Who's trying for tickets on Tuesday????
In theory, I will, but I'm still struggling to open a UK account with f%&#ing Ticketmaster. I've had to open a Twitter account [shudders] to get in touch with them to see if they'll sort it out.

Anyone else having problems?

Good luck to everyone who can attend. I reckon the jury shows might be a good opportunity to sway the jury votes haha!

One day I wish to attend, but I’m in no position to do that currently from Australia. I think my passport even expired during COVID, not that I can find the bloody thing.

I can however wave a hullo from the walk across Sydney Harbour Bridge during World Pride later today. They’re closing it to traffic for the march.

Seriously, even if I "pretend" :ge: and :am: to be masterpieces, I still can´t find 10 songs I´d like to qualify from semi 2 and it´s even the bigger semi :(
