I tried watching all the finals today, started with Estonia but my computer started screaming at me once I pulled up the shows that started at 20:00 CET.

So I’m down to Melodifestivalen (because the performances are hard to find when the semi ends) and Sanremo (because it’s Sanremo).

Same here.. I watched the performances of Eesti Laul (which were quite good! It was a surprise!) but I switched to Grey´s Anatomy now - maybe I will be watching the results (but dunno, I don´t want to wait for 1 hours).

Denmark, Romania, Latvia, Malta are really bad this year - like seriously, they have a single song max. which might be competitive and the 2nd heat of Sweden/Melodstivalen sucks as well.

Personally, I think that as long as it´s not your own country, :ee: and :it: are interesting tonight.

(I watched  last week which was good, though!)
I think Denmark is actually stronger than usual but there's still no song that makes me want to tune in to see it tbh :'D
Hope Reiley wins, his song is catchy enough (and contemporary, good for the overall contests reputation) and his forced "uwu cwutie K-Pwop" persona is fun cringe.

But well yeah, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Malta, Croatia (and SADLY Lithuania) aren't really giving something that I personally enjoy. Especially :lt: makes me sad cause I'm usually quite obsessed with a couple songs there.

And well Italy... Sanremo is just way too long and boring at times, I can't sit through it. I try every year but it's just not for me. And the songs this year really don't do it for me as well.

Melfest this year is really tragic, the second heat is SO bland. I'm thinking about just watching Heat 4 (without watching snippets) and the final, to at least get some excitement out of it.

MGP was great, but sadly I was occupied and missed it  Now that I have time it's over of course.

But I'm still looking forward to :de::fi::pl: and then just the reveals of the internal selections ( Having high hopes for :fr::cy::nl::am::il:) so I'm not giving this year up completely.

I love that, as a community, we seem to have a collective breakdown this Super Saturday.

And Croatia did it. We reached our main breaking point.

Not to be too negative, but so far this is shaping up to be my least favourite Eurovision ever. There's a few songs I like a decent amount, but not one entry I really love and want to root for yet, and I've scored most entries a 4 or less. That's unheard of for me his far into a NF season, and I'd like to think I'm normally quite positive leaning. I LOVED about 4 of the 12 entries picked by this point last year.

2008 was the best ESC (together with 2009) in the 00´s.

I don´t get these voices getting louder, though.. you do realise that we had fun/joke entries when the juries were around as well, right? - Let 3 just won and everyone is wishing the juries to be back..

Can I remind you all which entries competed in the SAME YEAR (when juries had a say)

To be honest, I only loved two songs so far: Because of You and EAEA. I might take a deeper dive to My Sister's Crown and Bridges, but the other entries didn't impress me much.

Seriously, guys! Help me out! I haven´t felt that way for a long time regarding Eurovision!

Everyone is telling how "bad this Supersaturday turned out to be" - there are tons of comments on FB saying that all songs suck.. and here I am.. living my best life... thinking that every country made the right choice (I don´t count :ro: because I didn´t like any song - at least, a super entertaining and trashy performance won).

Seriously, I´m living! Thriving! Just can´t get enough of this,.. now watch one of my four :12: win in :it: xD

Is that a state of euphoria for an ESC fan? :D

Feel my pain. I'd like to welcome you all into my world. This is my experience with national finals every single year and is a big part of why I haven't been invested for 2023. If you get a single favourite (thank you Maro last year xheart) to win, be extremely grateful and then pray that San Marino and Georgia give you songs to at least form a nice top 3.

This has been an absolutely pants night but I didn't expect any less at this point. I'm even prepared for a Robin win in Finland as I know how this all works by now.
