Jeez 1 euro to vote. I'll never get over how expensive it is to vote in some countries. Makes me thankful that it's basically nothing here.
How much is it ? I knew it was different from country to country but 0,99 was the basic price for me lmao

In France it's 0,99cents (1 Euro lol) + you add the price of a text message which would be between 10 to 30 cents depending on what kind of sub you have with your phone operator.

It's literally just around £0.15, which is €0.17. I think only Germany has it a little cheaper than us but by the graph above sms is more expensive. I've used all 20 votes in the past, i wouldn't bother if it was costing as much as it does for you. 20 votes is £3.00 (€3.45), while for you it hits nearly €20.

It sounds like the EBU will get its way eventually, the statement said they can't do it [the new elimination presentation] 'THIS YEAR'.

I wonder if the turquoise carpet event could have had a bit more atmosphere if they had had some small ticketed public presence there

Poor Estonians, €1.7 per vote
Yes, we Estonians have the most expensive vote because we're so rich, actually the richest nation, even richer than Switzerland and Norway. How didn't you know this???

20 votes for us is like 34€

Anyways, why are vote prices different in different countries to begin with? It's so unfair

Has anyone ever seen any leaked data on how many votes get cast in each country, either GF or SF? I'd be fascinated to see. Surely in some of the smaller population countries (Iceland, Malta, Montenegro) some entries only get a handful of votes.

Thank god my phone bill is still on my mother's name
But I'd never vote 20 times anyways, maybe only if it was 0.15 like yours

Jeez... I thought we had it bad in Portugal (another rich country lol). 0.76€ per call. Yeah, these discrepancies aren't fair at all.

I've heard that in some countries the public broadcasters are not allowed to make any profits on the televote, so the cost of the voting is just to cover the service costs... that could be the main difference

Pretty sure Loreen is winning this now. Will win the jury and surely she is top 5 in televote at the least
Finland won't do well enough in jury to make up the difference.
France - nope, not feeling it, not a winner.

Yeah the BBC isn't really for profit. They strictly don't do advertising of any sort, songs have been banned from BBC Radios for lyrical product placement for example. So everything is to just cover costs and reinvest. That'll be why its so cheap here

I think the only time I've seen anything like that was Swedens televote in 2009
