IMO Finland will do so good with the televote that it can not not be present in the TOP5
But I agree on the fact that the 8 countries you mention will all most probably all be in the TOP10 (except maybe the UK)

No really when have the juries ever put a song like Cha Cha Cha high up? I can only remember 2012’s Party For Everybody that was ranked 8th I believe

Only Loreen can beat him but she needs to smash the jury voting because it looks more and more sure that he will win the t/v by a lot quite easily. Think that in odds to win the t/v he has 48% while Loreen is below Ukraine.
My opinion remains that juries won't place him first but won't block him for winning either.

It depends on whether juries "go with the flow" and give their 12s to either Loreen or Käärijä OR if they want to stay out of this battle to remain neutral and give their 12s to another favourite like France, Italy or Spain.

In years with a one on one battle like this year with two favourite miles ahead of the others juries sometimes tend to act like that. I do think that Loreen will win 99% but I can see a little tiny chance for a shock surprise winner like France or Italy.

I‘m especially curious to see if Sweden and Finland give their 12s to each other.

I see people mentioning Italy as possible jury winner but don't forget that he took part again in 2013 and juries placed him 8th with a similar entry. Now 2013 was probably a stronger year but still it can't make that much of a difference to go from 8th to 1st.

I rewatched yesterday Eurovision 2021 as this is by far the best one. I simply loved that show in every segment, songs, stagings, artists etc.

That made me rewatch jury voting again and honestly, the voting was really political.

It was quite obvious that Eastern and Southern countries' juries didn't give their 10s and 12s to any Scandinavian or Western entry, with exception of Portugal and the Baltics (but they were trully stunning, I appreciate them now even more). They also favoured Italy going rogue against nice pretty ballads.

It was also obvious that Western juries, Scandinavians, France and Spain and Switzerland all voted one for another.

Italian jury was the most unpredictable.

Voting was either political or it showed clear divide in tastes and cultural understanding of music between different blocs.

So the juries have ulterior motives and they don't vote for quality necessarily, nor something innovative in spite of the fact that half of the jurors are journalists, producers or media personas.

Therefore, this year, in which we have so many jury wanking songs, both ballads and up-tempo songs, you can expect that they will simply vote by criteria which are totally unrelated to music.

Juries weren’t too fond of Italy in the past. In many years they placed them lower than the public. The only scenario I can imagine juries giving high points to Italy is when they want to avoid giving points to Finland or Sweden. France and Italy are imho the most probable jury winners in this scenario, maybe Spain, Israel or Norway (although juries weren’t too nice to Norway the past years either in comparison to the public).

Juries always seem to place the the popular televoter songs lower though. That's not exclusive to Italy.

That is actually a myth that keeps popping up every year. Since their comeback in 2011 Italy got a better place with the juries 5 times and with the public 6 times. It's pretty much even + usually there is only a difference of a few places.

Does anyone know the times for the turquoise carpet on Sunday?? Better not clash with the corry-nash concert. I want to see if Katy Perry has brought over the giant toilet bowl and mechanical turd from Vegas for old sausage fingers
