Not saying that screwing over Austria and Australia was the right thing to do BUT do we really want the producers to go strictly by SF results? This year, they were sooo lopsided. SF2 winner was clearly worse than some of the outside Top 5 finishes in SF1 and everyone knew it...

Seriously, they should just draw it all again.

Of course it should be random.

I haven't entered the cesspool that is Eurovision twitter yet, but I will make some predictions before I enter. Germans and British people bitching about europe hating them. Kaarija fans attacking loreen and her team and fans online for "rigging" the competition. Spanish fans spewing vile about running order and how they were before loreen and how they should have won and bla bla bla chanel bla bla bla. People being mad Ukraine got some sympathy points, who even gives a shit.

Call it conspiracy theory again but how is it possible that none of the people voting for :au: and :at: in the semis voted for them again in the final? :ROFLMAO: I would have understood if let’s say Germany got a lot of points so one could think they "stole" them from Australia but no.
because the choice in semi 2 was absolutely abysmal, it was one of the absolute worst semis of all time its no wonder that people voted elsewhere when given the option on Saturday

Seen people on twitter say that Romania did not deserve 0 points, they are right DGT deserved minus points
Honestly, their staging can be used as a format on how not to stage a eurovision song. Everything from the woman and him on the LED's to the terrible acoustic version in the beginning was so hilarious. The lava didn't look great, and I lost it when that woman ran on stage in the last ten seconds and grabbed him once and then they bowed.

Maybe the person doing the running order really doesnt know the semi results because Austria being put first in the running order after nearly winning their semi is quite something, maybe the person who made the running order has an account on hear and has to read Ezio's posts

Possibly - but the number of people voting in the final is far greater. And also given semi final 1 was stronger overall its likely the televotes just drifted to Sweden, Finland and Norway so Australia wasn't in as many people's top 10 in the final. It looks odd - but isn't hard to believe.

The good thing about this victory is the good show quality they are gonna bring us.
However, I am getting afraid of the new innovations. You know, now they will be able to speak in the same language.

In the end while the results lower down were surprising Sweden was always favourite to win and win the juries easily and Finland was odds on to win the televote bigly. And what was predicted - is what happened. I expect once they have slept on it the twitter mob will get some perspective.

People, we have an Eurovision winner with ZERO 12's from the televote and only 9 10's from participating countries and you ask yourselves why Australia has 20 pts in the Final?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Loreen came second in the televote and first in the juries and got 57 more points than the second placed act - under the rules of the contest that seems like a solid win to me.

We don't have a televote only final - the big 5 wouldn't allow it even if the EBU wanted it back. I can see why Finnish fans are unhappy - but Duncan Lawrence, Mans Zelmerlow and Jamala never won the televote either but they won Eurovision!

But was it fair? No.
(But I made my peace with Jamala because under the given circumstances I was ok with it later. Unfortunately I didn’t like both winning songs of Ukraine, this and 2022 - but I loved 2004. I think her victory was justified though.)

With 2 crucial differences:

1. They did get 12 points from televote

2. They didn't win over a competitor with efin 2ND BIGGEST TELEVOTE IN ESC HISTORY AFTER KALUSH ORCHESTRA.

You really cannot be that much of Sweden's fanwanker not to realize how desperately WRONG this result is!

Now that Sweden got their desperate 7th win for ABBA anniversary, maybe they are open to changes in terms of compliance and fairness:

- abolish producer running order
- change televoting: only one vote per country, max. 20 votes, so that every country stands a chance and diaspora and block voting gets thrown out the window
- allow voting through the app live: like or not like, like is a vote
- more fanfare and introduction before the first song, less intervals and shorter breaks later, because the first songs suffer not only from recency bias but also lesser viewers
- juries without musicians with active contracts with labels in the competitions, and other record label affiliates
- juries must not rank from 1st to last, but only top 10

Anyways:

1. Kaarija has 2nd biggest televote in ESC history, he leveled Sobral's record.

2. Kaarija has 12's from 18 participating countries.

3. Kaarija has 10's from 8 more countries and Rest of the World.

Congratulations Finland, you have won!

Now let's forget this farce and pretend ESC 2023 has not happened at all.

Trust me, Sweden ain't gonna be a winner for a long long time after this.

Good night.

Let's not make it into a circus. No producers order is obviously a good thing but the rest of your ideas don't make sense.
