Catarina Furtado (born August 25, 1972) is a Portuguese television presenter, actress and UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador. Catarina was born in Lisbon and is daughter of RTP journalist Joaquim Furtado.Throughout her career on television which started in the early 1990s, she has worked for SIC and RTP television networks, as well as the radio stations Rádio Comercial and RDP Antena 3. While an underage girl, Catarina had a short non-talking role in the film Non, ou a Vã Glória de Mandar directed by Manoel de Oliveira. Later on she starred in films like Killing Time (an English film that appeared in the Cannes Film Festival), Fatima (an Italian movie by Fabrizio Costa), Anjo da Guarda and Pesadelo cor-de-rosa, among others.
Catarina's first big success was as a presenter on the TV show Top + on RTP, a Portuguese program featuring popular music videos and the national weekly record chart. It was a music show that led to her hosting a MTV Portugal program on the SIC network, years before Portuguese MTV was founded. She went on to do a variety of shows, including Treasure Hunt (Caça ao Tesouro), on SIC television, which was often shot on location in Portugal's smaller towns, where Catarina arrived in a helicopter.
Filomena Cautela (born December 16, 1984) is a Portuguese television presenter and actress. Cautela started her acting career in the theatre in the year 2000. In 2004 she made her debut in the cinema and in 2005 she was cast as a presenter by MTV Portugal.Filomena continued acting for both theatre and cinema whilst her television presenter career took her to different TV stations and new shows. She has been hosting the late prime talk show 5 Para A Meia-Noite on RTP since 2015. Among other projects she was the Green Room presenter on the Portuguese national final for the Eurovision Song Contest, Festival da Canção in 2017, and was the Portuguese jury spokesperson in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.
Sílvia Alberto (born 18 May 1981) is a Portuguese television presenter and actress, currently employed by Rádio e Televisão de Portugal. She began her career in 2000, presenting Clube Disney on RTP1.Alberto is best known for hosting seven editions of Festival da Canção (Portuguese heats for the Eurovision Song Contest), Dança Comigo (Portuguese version of Strictly Come Dancing), Operação Triunfo and presenting the RTP talent programme Aqui há talento.
She also had a three year stint with the broadcaster Sociedade Independente de Comunicação, where she co-hosted the first two series of Ídolos and the 2004 Portuguese Golden Globes.
Daniela Ruah (born December 2, 1983) is a Portuguese-American actress best known for playing NCIS Special Agent Kensi Blye in the CBS police procedural series NCIS: Los Angeles.Ruah started acting in Portuguese soap operas when she was a teen. Her first acting role came at 16, when she played Sara on the soap opera Jardins Proibidos ("Forbidden Gardens").
At 18, she moved to London to study at the London Metropolitan University, where she earned a First in Performing Arts. Ruah returned to Portugal to pursue her acting career. She was the winner of the celebrity dancing competition Dança Comigo (the Portuguese version of Dancing with the Stars) and got main roles in television series, short films, and theatre.In 2007, she moved to New York to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Ruah stars as Special Agent Kensi Blye in NCIS: Los Angeles, which first aired on September 22, 2009. In 2011, she portrayed the character in a crossover guest appearance on the series Hawaii Five-0.In 2013, Ruah appeared in David Auburn's dramatic play Proof at Los Angeles' Hayworth Theatre.
