I'm happy that Austria is in Semi-Final 2 !! i like the draw

i think we have high Chances to get points from Italy (Südtirol, Alto Adige) and Germany

Quite a bad draw for . And quite a tough semi too. I think this will be the second time without in the final Everything depends on the song, but it will be extremely hard. We have many countries that always qualify easily, and many who traditionally never vote for us. But we'll see

It's also nice that I will be able to vote for Finland if they choose Cardiant

And it's clear that we won't get points from 7-8 countries

Disappointing from a UK perspective that we are voting in semi 1. Greece, Turkey and Lithuania are bound to be top of our televote Shame the EBU didn't do anything to avoid this.

How can you blame the EBU for that? They have already a pot system trying to break down the diaspora issue but the U.K. has to vote in one Semi. U.K. also votes for Ireland but they can't do it this time.

So if someone should be blamed, it's those people who vote and not the EBU

They could let their computer work out how the big 5 tend to awards points to each of the semi finals and then split the countries based on that.... I'm sure they could create a program for that.

It's all random and allocation cannot be done 100% right/fair or whatever you call it.

I mean Azerbaijan and turkey in the same semi, would that be fair? No, but it happens
Romania and Moldova are in the same pot, blame the EBU for that? I think the whole fear of diaspora is getting a little out of hand.
Especially with juries involved it has decreased a lot so I personally don't believe it is going to be that big of a deal.

I agree with this! Actually I find it weird that the Big countries aren't divided into the pots aswell as they do have voting power in the semis, afterall the pots are made to somehow prevent some diaspora/block power, so that should apply to all voting countries imo.

Anyway, France, UK and Germany tend to vote kinda similar and one of them is voting in semi-1 and the other two in semi-2 (only UK will vote in the Turkey, Greece, Armenia semifinal). We don't know about Italy, but probably their vote would be more similar to the Spanish one, and each one is voting in a different semifinal, so I don't think the draw was that bad

Despite, Romania-Moldova and Turkey-Azerbaijan in the same semi, the draw was quite good. I can't make conclusion cause we only know 3 songs u know... but so far it looks like semi-1 is tougher cause there are many countries that usually or always qualify or do well there, at least last years (Norway, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, Russia, Georgia, Iceland, Greece, Portugal, Azerbaijan -also Albania but I don't think they can qualify with such song). The rest of the countries will wether find a very good song or wait for some of the previous countries to send a crappy song.

Semi 2 has Bosnia, Ukraine, Romania, Denmark and Israel, then Sweden and Moldova, and then a group of "unlucky countries". Much more easy, but still waiting for all the songs

I'd rather we didn't vote at all than gift at least 5 points to songs that might not deserve it at the expense of better songs.

Im sad that United Kingdom isnt voting in the same semi as the one Ireland is participating in .
